If you're looking for a place to relax and unwind. you better stay in this place, it has a breathtaking view of the mountains and the sea. and if you're an adventurous person, you can climb the resort without riding in the shuttle. It was fun. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are spacious, their food is good. Definitely we will visiting this resort next summer again.. Love to stay in this place.

Room Tip: Rooms on standard suite are okey and less expensive.

Stayed here over Summer of 2014 for 3d and 2n. All I can say is that the room was very spacious and elegant. I love the concept of the sliding doors leading to the veranda. The bathroom was equally luxurious as well. There was a kitchen at the first floor of the unit. The veranda is overlooking the mountains of Aninuan. Visitors can also get a view of the sea at the restaurant and at the garden. The pool area is also very nice. A 24 hour wine and juice bar is also available for people who would want to take a sip while swimming.

On the contrary. there are a few things that require improvement. One is the shuttle service which I think should provide frequent transfers to guest who would want to go to White Beach. There are no local phones available in the guest rooms as well. The hotel should also give more breakfast options to the guests. Housekeeping is upon request only and they charge extra if you ask for new towels. The pathway leading to the main road is very steep.

Overall, the hotel is as good as the pictures. Would love to stay here in the future.

Tip: Always ask for the rooms on the upper floor which has the best mountain view.

Situated in the hills above Aninuan Beach, Tribal Hills is a wonderfully scenic resort which prides itself in cleanliness and good service.

Because of it's elevation, the resort provides a shuttle both to Aninuan Beach and White Beach which is a godsend as the road to it, although not a great length is very steep in places and should only be attempted if one is fairly fit. But do note, the shuttle only runs three times a day making the round trip, but it is possible to call the resort like we did and get a free ride up from the bottom of the hill. If you require the shuttle out of the designated times from anywhere else though, you will have to pay.

Aninuan Beach is a couple of minutes from the bottom of the hill and White Beach is a short trike ride away or about a 15-20 minute walk. Talipanan Beach is in the opposite direction and takes slightly longer but worthy of a visit.

The standard room we stayed in was spacious and inviting and I think we paid around 1800 peso's for it, but that was due to a low season promo. Not that I'm complaining.

The communal area's are excellent and having breakfast while admiring the view out to sea was a pleasant way to start the day. The resort also has a pool and offers day trips such as island hopping and a trek into the mountains. I think the latter is free.

To sum it up, Tribal Hills is simply great and if you decide to stay here, don't forget to say hello to the resident owl!

This place has a lot of positive features and with small improvements, it would become a lovely place to relax.

The room where I stayed was really spacious (deluxe suite) and had a lovely view on the mountains. I liked the decor and how everything was very clean.

However, it was a bit strange because there wasn't any clear information about the room service, schedules etc. I was told to call if I needed anything but since there wasn't a telephone and I didn't have a local sim card, this wasn't really helping.

Coming all the way from Europe, I was looking forward to having fresh tropical fruit for breakfast but realized there was not even fruit juice available (except for the canned juice). Things got better when we asked for fruit and during the final few days, we had mangos available every day. What's more, the restaurant had excellent Filipino meals (dinner) and the best mango shake I've ever tasted (once they got the mangos ready)!! I'd give the cook five stars, if it was possible :)

Went here for a vacation before the end of 2013.
It was a 3D/2N stay, and it was very nice.
This place is very pleasant, clean and the view is just.. "WOW!"
If I had the choice, I won't leave the place, that's how good it is.

Only one problem we encountered was the AC at Room 4.
Well, our friends say it was the same for Room 3 and 5. The room is very hot at night resulting to a little bit uncomfortable sleep. I'm guessing that's because of the position of the AC, it should be across the bed, not beside.

But still, it was a very very nice trip.
