after much research on internet,i chose this resort for our 1st week of our bi annual philippines dive trip.my first impression on contact by e mail with Shirley was positive, she answered all my questions so I booked 4 rooms for 5 divers and 3 non divers.Shirley is an asset she organised our transfers from Manila airport with 2 vans and a private boat,it was perfect everything went smoothly. We arrived at resort,2 guests had never been to the philippines and as the boat sailed practically to the door they both said wow.we checked in smoothly into 3 bungalows and one apartment. For the price per room it was fantastic, rooms were spacious, plenty of hot water and room had both air con and a large fan.plenty of storage space.
The day we arrived was my birthday and as we sat down to lunch the staff brought out georgous apple crumble and ice cream with candles on,then after evening meal they had baked a fabulous cake for me.The food in the restaurant and the staff was so good we never ate anywhere else, and on fri and sat they have a bbq and band which was so good lots of sabang residents came.John behind the bar makes the best cocktails in Sabang, and I tried a few.
this has to be the best all in dive resort I have ever been to.as there were 5 divers John the owner arranged that we had our own boat and dive master Geoff,he was great as indeed were all dive staff.Chris and baz made us all feel so welcome.Air fills were good, and a nice touch was towels at the end of your dive and restaurant staff ready with tea or coffee.Having dived all over the world I have never stayed in a slicker diving operation.
Our non divers enjoyed their day by the lovely small pool, but as the resort is only small it was never crowded.I stayed in room 5 which opened right onto it.nice porch with chairs, table and hammock.it is also possible to have your laundry done at reasonable cost.
All the staff work so hard, and that made this the best resort we have stayed at.we charged all food and drink to our room and at the end of our 8 nights itemised bills were given, all correct.the only shocking thing was how reasonable our total bill was.
as one of my friends said "it may be only a 3* resort but the service was 12* "
overall eperience this resort for yourself, you won`t be disappointed
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS
Day trip to verde island with 3 dives is a must weather permitting.the wall dives are some of the best I have ever done, pristine reef with so much to see you don`t know where to look first,a photographers heaven, and the bbq was brilliant

Room Tip: detache bungalows around the poll are the best

I passed my PADI certification at Blue Ribbon Dive Resort. The dive staff is very professional, friendly and amazingly patient with beginners. They are particularly careful with safety matters, which is quite appreciable when you are a beginner! I would advice anyone to go there for diving in Puerto Galera, either for discovery dives, passing diving certifications or fun dives.
I also spent 4 nights there with some friends. Rooms are good value for money: pretty cheap, and still better than usual budget rooms, and spacious. The restaurant offers large choice of food, which should suit any nationality, either for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Overall, the experience was a strong four out of five stars. We'd certainly go back.

The highlight is the diving, which is world class. Additionally, the dive staff are fantastic. The dive masters are all very nice and super knowledgeable. The dive instructors are fantastic. Five out of five stars for the diving.

The resort staff are likewise very friendly and accommodating. As an example, we asked for room cleanup the first day, and thereafter they just did it without us having to ask. Five out of five stars. The resort itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, and is in a very good location - not too far from the action in Sabang, but not too close that it is noisy. The buildings are not particularly luxurious, but you are also not paying very much. For the price, the resort is an adequate value. Three out of five stars.

Sabang Beach is a nice place. As mentioned, the diving is top shelf. You can find some decent restaurants, and some not so great ones. There are a few things to do in the area besides diving, including lots of authentic Philippine culture, but you shouldn't come for these. And beware the touts!

This is the second time i have stayed at Blue Ribbon, and i certainly shall be going back again, i completed my Enriched Divers course, my EFR & rescue divers course this time, as usual, the instructors were very good at explaining everything that i wanted to know and learn, it was fun doing the course.
All the staff along with the diving staff are very helpful and very polite, as usual i met some great people there, there is a happy vibe around this place.
The internet was now up and running, which was better than the last time.
The diving is right on your doorstep and so many different dive sites to visit.
Accomodation is basic, but it has everything that you need, i was there to dive and not stay in my room all day, diving is great, staff are great and great prices for accomodation and diving course.
Would certainly recommend for any diver to stay here without a doubt.

Room Tip: Stay on the right side of the facility...

Did not stay at blue ribbon as I was traveling with my family and blue ribbon only has small budget rooms but the rooms are also quite good for the cheap price. However we did dive with blue ribbon. We had breakfast at blue ribbon every morning because the good is that great! It's got everything from American breakfasts, cereals, bacon and eggs, pancakes to Filipino breakfasts(if you have not tried it yet get Crispy Ticino! It's very good. The dive guides are all extremely friendly and know their stuff. The resort is located in a very convenient spot next to restaurants and shops. Staff are friendly and always up for a chat. Blue Ribbon always has customers for drinks and dinner from about 4-10pm most nights. This resort is great if you arena chilled out person and up for a good time. Blue ribbon is a great resort and you will have a great time. Awesome atmosphere, always movies and music playing throughout the day. Great hangout area.

Room Tip: If you are after a quieter vacation and don't plan on being at the restaurant or happy hour duri...
