This is a nice place to come stay with some buddies or your other half.
Peaceful location. Beach is not whitesand, but it's close to town (10 minute walk) and close to Sabang if you feel like some nightlife.
They have wifi, kayaks, mexican food, cold beer and laundry - what more do you need?!

Room Tip: All seem good enough (new).

Hey! Thanks for the review :) Yep, the beach isn't dazzling white sand by any means, but it's does all the things that a beach can do - provide a place to tan, swim, snorkel, relax, nap under the coconut trees, etc. Look forward to seeing you next time!

We had a great time staying in Badladz, a simple hotel but complete in its facilities. We are group of 12 that mostly works in a hotel in Manila. The hotel is located in the center of Sabang and White beach that added thrill in our vacation. The staff is really great, they are all very accommodating and helpful. The only negative things that we noted to them is the ongoing construction in the hotel and nearby building. Construction workers watching our movements is somewhat makes us all very uncomfortable.

Room Tip: Good for honeymooners

Hey! Thanks for the review!

Glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the constructions is a lil noisy... but guess what - it's almost done! We're really really excited. Our new double rooms for families will be completed mid-June.

Look forward to seeing you all again :)

I stayed at Badladz resort for 2 nights in April 2012. The resort is a few minutes taxi (3 wheeler) ride from the main peir in town where the dive shop adventure tours are housed, but not so far that you could not walk into town to stretch your legs or try the flavours offered by some of the other proprietors. The resort itself is centred around the main building that houses the office, kitchen and dining area. It is newly constructed since January 2012 and was in the midst of adding to the initial 3 stories of maybe 12 to 15 rooms. I could only guess as to them adding another 12 or so extra rooms. Being that there was ongoing construction there was a fair bit of dust on the floors, but I imagine that this will change upon completion. The owners are a Canadian/Filipino couple. It has nice tile floors throughout and a large enough dining area to care for all the guests. The food was reasonably priced and was well prepared, including some Mexican choices on the menu.

The rooms had cold air con and western amenities with comfortable beds. There were hangers and an open closet area to hang your things. In came with a flat screen cable tv, but it did seem to be tilted down, but not quite low enough as the flat screens picture quality deteriorates when too far off center. Maybe could tilted a bit more toward head of the bed for straight on viewing. Otherwise the rooms were not too large, but comfortable and the same could said about the bathrooms.

The balcony that runs the length of each of the 3 floors provided some overlooking, but I noted that the top of the building could very well be a nice place to set up some sort of garden shaded area or something as an option. As for the beachfront and being a new hotel resort it was well grassed and had several lazing chairs to sit in. My suggestion for improvement would be a few grass roofed huts for shade as the few palm trees out front did not provide shady spots to sit throughout the day and they would certainly accent the beachfront area quite well. The beach itself is very walkable and is long enough for a good stroll. It is not Boracay or El Nido colored white sand and has some larger pebbles mixed in with it. I did see the staff taking the time to clear the beach in front of the resort for guests to find a spot on the sand. The lounging chairs accompanied by a few umbrellas would make the area more attractive.

All in all this is a new resort that was making some expansion and will certainly benefit by adding some beachside shade areas for guests outside the dining area. The internet from memory was accessible from the dining area and beachfront but not in the rooms and it was a tad slow like many places where wireless internet is what the area offers.

Overall, it is certainly modernized and I would expect once the dust settles and a few soft touches with the beachfront are added (for shade during the warmth of the day) will make this a comfortable place I would recommend to others.

Room Tip: I would choose the second or third floor and not sure what will be offered in the new wing under construction.

Thanks for the review!

Totally understand what you mean about the construction. We started with 9 single rooms, but people kept asking for family rooms... so we decided to build some. Construction will be complete mid-June. Then the dust will be gone and the new rooms will be ready to rock n' roll.

See you again!
