Not a good experience & we will definitely not go back. It was quite expensive compared to other places we have been in the Philippines (Boracay, Hundred Islands, Mactan, Palawan, Subic) but was not in the same league. The big let-down was the food. It was really awful & we ate out at the beach places after the first day. None of us wanted anything other than the breakfast at the hotel. The food took ages to arrive after ordering, almost an hour for a burger. We asked for a packed up meal for an island hopping trip & it was embarrassingly bad. My wife took all of it back & gave the kitchen staff serious grief. The other staff were lovely, very polite & helpful, I can't praise them enough. The rooms were ok, spacious with good aircon, nice beds & very clean. The wifi was excellent all over, top marks for that. One last point, the building is designed round the swimming pool so lots of noise. Forget a quiet afternoon if that's what you are looking for. The person in charge did take note of my wife's remarks & was very concerned that we were so negative on the place.
We had an evening trip to Hemingways in Sabang which was very nice as the food was good & its a great location. It caused a few laughs that "Hemingway" is actually a German (that's the owner) but its a good place & the prices were very good. Great staff, recommend it! If you are walking through Sabang its very cheesey & there are pole dancing joints etc with the doors open which is not good if you have younger kids with you as we did.
