We spent a week at Loloy and Christie's relaxing resort. We enjoyed the best treatment, food and I loved the central living-eating area where we could hang out under the palm trees. The beach is private and there is lots of coral out in the bay to snorkel around. Loloy is great at organising day trips, romantic seafood dinners on the beach or anything else you need. This place is not for tourists who want hot showers and TV, (although there are rooms with hot water, just ask for one of those...they are not on the beach though) it's a place for weary travellers to rest and those who want to tune into nature and the local lifestyle. Guests stay for months at a time, and return every year...so that tells you something. We will be returning for sure. So please visit, and bring your golden attitude along to share. No complaints about the hill behind, it's good for your legs. The beach is cleaned and swept everyday. If you need something just ask...it's about communication, the staff can't be expected to predict every one of your needs. Thanks to the staff and family, we had a lovely holiday.

Room Tip: Ask for a cottage on the beach away from the central area.

This is probably the best budget resort for miles around.

The rooms are decent, but it's cold showers and no TV.

The cool bit is the beach (mostly deserted) and quite clean, and the lovely staff and family atmosphere. Everyone was very accommodating and friendly. If you are diving in Sabang this is ideal, about a 10 min drive away with none of the Sabang squalor or noise. Very peaceful and chilled. Good value too.

This is quite a late review. My family and I stayed there summer of 2012. Just wanted to say that we had a great time during our stay which coincided with a reggae festival at the resort.

We stayed at one of the upper rooms. The room was practically bare, just a/c, beds and bathroom - but clean and serves its purpose.

What's best about the resort is that its located at a cove. So you practically have the beach devoted to the guests of the resort. I also like that the restaurant exhibit a cozy, friendly, and welcoming vibe.

Transportation to and from the port can be provided by the resort. But if anytime during your stay you decide that you want to go to the town proper, then you need to walk uphill to the main road, which may be a problem if you don't like climbing. Otherwise, its fine.

what can I say there is nothing to say in this place. Rooms are small, hot, bed are foul and smelly, never got a change of bed sheets for a 4 nights stay. Food is terrible and expensive. No other amusement just a pool table with a charge of 100, even have to wait because the family or relatives of the resort owner are so addictic playing it. beach is terrible and dirty. My son and I joined a tour of the banca and had to go just to have a good swimming spot somewhere in the other side of the island where vendors of puka shell, sand sandals, and other seller will bug you all the time while realaxing on the shore. Ovwerall don't go here. better spend your money somwhere where you can get the same price, Puerto GaLera has so many resorts just have to search. next time wisely.
