Had a FATASTIC time despite a "Super Typhoon".
Nice clean, tidy & comfortable room right on the beach, great food, other guests were very friendly making for a brilliant atmosphere.
Our host, Lexy, and her great staff were so much fun and did everything possible to make sure everybody was happy.
Great value!

Aninuan Beach resort is very peacefull place for couples or single travellers. Staff is very kind and helpfull. If you dont want go out from this resort, its ok because you find everything what you need in resort. If you like nightlife, white beach is near for that. I can easily recommend that place to stay. :)

Planning a weekend trip wasn't easy. Especially when you've got limited time and the weather to think about. But our weekend at sunset at Aninuan was beyond our expectation. We literally forgot about time and had a great weather over our heads during our stay.
We booked a deluxe room, and as discussed on reservation, it was only a few meters to the water.
It was quaint, and clean. I like their outdoor restaurant where we had all our meals. Their bar hut serving the best mango shakes on the planet!
We used their kayaks, and like told, it's complimentary.
My partner loved snorkeling, and was really grateful of the reef they have nearby. The long strip of beach was ideal for just walking along the shore during sunsets. The incredible way the sun set made us feel really invigorated. Aside from the sea, we love the little river flowing with fresh water that when meeting the salt water giving you a luke warm temperature.
The resort's staff and Lexy, the owner were truly accommodating. Since we were the only guests, we asked the staff to join us for drinks on our last night and we really had great fun, it's like we were with long-time friends.
We didn't feel any uneasiness because everybody was simply hospitable.
It was hard to leave the island and the people we learned to mingle with.

Now, we learned that we shouldn't worry about time and weather. Sunset at Aninuan in Puerto Galera gave us a weekend trip we'll never forget.
We can't wait for the next long weekend!

My fiancée and I recently spent two weeks at Sunset at Aninuan Beach Resort in August 2010, and to sum up our stay in just one word, it would have to be "AMAZING." The grounds were immaculately kept, as well as the rooms, tiki bar, and recreation area. The views were breathtaking (unbelievable sunsets each night), and the atmosphere was extremely peaceful and relaxing. But the best part about our stay was the ultra-friendly and attentive staff. From the moment we arrived, they were at our beckon call. If we needed anything at all, it was delivered immediately (sometimes before we even asked). Lexy's staff was one big happy family, and they instantly made us feel like part of their family too. In the two weeks we were there, we never saw a staff member without a huge, friendly smile on his or her face. Lexy (the owner) even took time out of her busy schedule to take us on a private waterfall hike, and unselfishly invited us into her "home." While I have traveled extensively and stayed at many 4- and 5-star resorts, I must say, this was by far the best place I've ever stayed in terms of hospitality, friendliness, and ambience. We have made friends for life with Lexy and her staff, and we will definitely return for many years to come!

Our stay at "Sunset at Aninuan Hotel" was one of our highlites of a 5 week holiday at various locations through the Philippines and Thailand. This is a resort Hotel and in the past I have always tried to avoid resorts after a bad experience in Fiji. However, I cannot stress enough to you all who read this review, how much we enjoyed our 8 days at "sunset at Aninuan". From the minute you step foot on these premises, you go to the reception. That happens to be the beach bar. Hotel owner, Lexy Niederer and chief of staff Lezpaul greet you with the warmth of the most assuring smiles that your time here is going to be well catered for and your going to be treated like kings and queens. (I was the King). I'm definately not a Queen.!!. Initially for the first 2 days there there was a business group of approximately 40 people on a conference also being catered for. This was not detrimental to the service that we recv'd. To me it proved how well trained and professional the staff at this resort can cope with everybody's needs and attention. We were offered a free upgrade to a suite, but our preference was for a ground floor unit in the new wing. We were totally made to feel at home. Now for the food:- In the 8 days there, we had all but 3 meals at the hotel. Why???? Because they were great. It didnt matter what we ordered, it was served in time, it was tasty and nothing ever went back to the kitchen. Further credit to Lexy and her chef. Mid week, we had the run of the resort as we were the only guests there (low season) and we were treated like family. Oh I nearly forgot to tell you. Try the Breakfast Pancakes. They are the best in the World. Now about the Bar:- Unlike all other resorts that I have stayed at with inflated prices, because your at a resort, Sunset at Aninuan's prices were no diferent to all other hotels of our holiday. This was a REAL BONUS and very well recv'd. Many a beer (San Mig) and Cocktail downed there. All drinks were Ice Cold. Summing up:- Our stay for 8 days there rates as 100%. Lexy, Lezpaul, Nympha, Matet and Nilo as well as the other staff who we didn't get to know as well are to be CONGRATULATED. Our stay is forever to be remembered. Thank you so much and hope to see you again.

It is for the second time around that we made our company excursion to SUNSET AT ANINUAN BEACH RESORT!! We have been there already 2 years ago and when the proposal was made again to our staff (a total of 48 pax) they immediately agreed and were happy! They said right away yes there the beach is nice, the food is very good and there are plenty of activities. We had in the afternoon even our ISO schooling and there is enough space for indivudial groups to have their training. The food was always a buffet style lunch, dinner and breakfast, there was plenty of food and it was delicious! We much appreciated the full attention the staff and the owner Ms. Lexy, gave to us - it was a total sensation and we shall be back next year! There is nothing better and we have been already at many places!

Modern beach hotel in poluted neighbourhood. The rooms are simple, clean but sterile bathroom, loud aircon. Very simple breakfast, the restaurant serves same western evergreens and badly cooked philippine dishes. The staff is attentive, but you always feel an atmosphere of fear towards the brash owner of the hotel. Some guests bring local hookers to the hotel. Nice : the small beachstrip infront of the hotel and the sunsets.
No value for money.
