Stayed here for 4 days way back in 2009, the inn is situated on the hill and you have to climb up several steps to reach your villa. WE arrived El Nido about 2am and we only had flashflights to light our way to the inn. But the room is quite nice. Its made of sawali - the walls, and the bed is made of bamboo with mosquito nets as a design. as if youre sleeping like a princess :)
our midnight meal was awesome. Although it was already 2 am, the chicken inasal served in El nido is nice!
One more thing. Imagine a night spent with crickets on the background, cool environment, no signal of celphone - a good vacation indeed! In addition to that, when you open your window in the morning, you will see El Nido's beauty, right before your very eye.. truly priceless!

We stayed there for 2 nights and all i can say is it was awesome.. great overlooking view.. you will wake up in the morning with coffee at the table outside your room. You can ask for a breakfast if you want. the owner is always there and will going to chat with you. the room was clean, and good water facility and most of all the owner was hands on to his business he is so hospitable and at morning you will hear the monkeys screaming and also the birds and if you're lucky you can see the squirrels playing from one tree to another.. i will definitely stay here again soon..

My wife and I spent 10 nights here and enjoyed our stay. It's a 10 minute walk from the beach which means that while it doesn't have the buzz and bustle of a beach front place it's lovely and quiet. The owner and his family are very friendly and accommodating, and every morning you'll find coffee then breakfast laid out on your balcony for you. Not bad for the price, which is very reasonable if you book on Agoda.

The only downside is the daily power outage from 6am-2pm. This happens across the whole of El Nido and hardly anywhere has a back-up generator. Take a camping lantern to use in the bathroom when you wake up, and a multi-plug adaptor so you can charge everything when you go to bed!

We stayed in the detached cottage right on the top of the hillside, great views and probably the best room as it is away from other cottages so there was no noise from neighbours, although El Nido is a tranquil place anyway.

Staff were attentive and resolved any concerns we may of had, they climbed numerous steps to serve as breakfast at our cottage. Yes there are many steps to the top but it's good exercise and you need to climb steps to get good views.

Room was a traditional basic nipa hut and was clean and had comfortable beds. Electricity in El Nido is from 6pm to 6am, which is the norm in most small towns in Palawan.

Overall a lovely place to stay and good value for money.

My wife and me have spent 10 days in Viewdeck. The cottages are built in green on a hill side above El Nido. Sitting on the veranda, we were allways filled with enthusiasm while looking down to El Nido and the beautiful blue bay. The El Nido beach is within walking distance (10 min), the larger Las Cabanas beach can be reached by tricycle (15 min).

We have enjoyed the stay very much, since the place was quiet, the climate mild and our room was clean and big enough for both of us. It was equiped with aircondition and with fan. The cold water was available all the day, warm water only during the time, when the power for the entire El Nido region wasn't switched off. This was the only inconvenience we had during the whole stay. The breakfast was delivered every morning to our veranda, the staff was friendly and helpful. The owner, Mr. Rudy Samson was very cooperative giving us many good advices concerning sights in the area. He has helped us organizing sea tours and trips in the area.

Booked a room via Agoda for 1 night but on arrival the room had been reserved for the following day - obviously a clerical error. We did luckily get a room and an upgrade but that was just luck - we had to check out the following day as they were fully booked.

The rooms themselves, though small, are clean and well looked after. The view is great, but you pay a price for that having to walk far from the centre of town. The breakfast was excellent - the mango was particularly delicious.

Some of the younger staff really struggle with guests. I don't think their English is up to scratch, which is unfortunate as most of the guests here are Westerners. Can make it a bit more difficult than other places I've stayed in the Philippines. Took a very long time to sort out the confusion over the room - not sure what would have happened had I not had my receipt.

We stayed for 4 nights in January. The rooms were okay, clean, but our sheets had visible stains (which might just mean they didn't wash out). Our room didn't have water for almost 3 days. As I understand they pump water and they ran out or something? Our first night we got it back, because the owner was there and dealt with the problem. The next 3 nights the owner was not there and none of the workers (I believe they were his sons) could speak very little and almost no english. They finally brought us some water in the room and said they will pump at 10pm. I don't know why they couldn't do it then. But nothing happened at 10 and we had to wash ourselves out of the bucket and reserve some for the toilet needs. This went on the next day and the morning after that which was very inconvenient, because we had been swimming, sweating and not properly bathing. For that reason we wanted to ask for a change of sheets, but thought its such a trouble, since the language barrier. Im sure if the owner would have been present at that time, our stay would have been a lot better!
The view of course was amazing, and the breakfast was served on the balcony of each room which was nice! Also the eggs were very tasty.

One morning we had to leave at 7 and ordered the breakfast to be ready at 6, so we could make it on time. We didn't get our food until 6.50 which made us way late. This was again when the kids were running the place and no owner was present.

I advise the owner whose name i believe to be Rudy to PLEASE hire some english speaking help, who are not just kids and have a better sense of responsibility. This place is not cheap and full of guests all the time, kids with a great language barrier should not run this place!

Please inform your guests that there is no room cleaning during your stay and no warm water and the possibility of having No water sometimes.

Room Tip: Don't expect having water in your room. That also means some extra troubles with visits to the t...
