This resort is just outside El Nido town proper, and i must say we were pleased with the location. Corong Corong is more quite and this side of the bay offers the most amazing sunset i have ever seen. We booked the beach front cottage, and we liked it. The room is spacious enough with a comfortable bathroom and A/C. They dont have electricity from 6 am to 6 pm like in most places here. Staff was very kind, chilled and accommodating. Would definitely comeback.

Came here with a group of friends. Transportation from Puerto Princesa with a private van (only 6 of us passengers) cost 14,000.00 pesos round trip. Did the arrangement with the owner Mr. Robert Horsley who is a very kind man. Travel took us a little less than 5 hours. We arrived around 13:00 and was greeted by a nice lady Susan and offered us with a welcome drink. choices were limited to coke, sprite, beer and or water. The resort has a beautiful garden and is right infront of the beach. We took 3 rooms and ours was the blue cottage (great for couples) facing the beach with the most beautiful view of the sunset. The beach front (corong corong beach) is very nice. Nice to snorkle in the morning (water temp. is always warm) when the tide is high. The water only becomes waist deep for 100 meters from the shore in the morning. And the tide almost disappear in the afternoon. Saw a lot of starfishes and flying fishes. They have a beautiful garden were you can choose to have breakfast or you can have it on your porch. The rooms were better than i expected. Wooden floors, comfortable bed although i had the impression that the bedsheets on the first night was dirty. It was changed on the third day. Air-condition works well. Small bathroom with hot shower. They clean the room upon request. Continental breakfast with choices between pancakes, toast, eggs, ham, bacon, omelette, coffee, orange juice or chocolate drink and a banana. The staff will ask you about what breakfast you prefer the night before, so they will have it prepared right away when you're ready. Wifi doesn't always work in the room but it does in the garden even when the power is down. El Nido only have electricity from 14:00- 6:00am. The town doesn't have an ATM machine although some businesses, shops and restaurants accepts credit card (either Visa or Mastercard only)
They also provide the Island tours leaving directly infront of the resort. It was very convenient that you don't go down town were the tours are in bigger boats but are also crowded. We did island tour A1,200.00 pesos & C 1,400.00 pesos in one day and instead only paid 2000.00 each (saved 600.00) there was also 200.00 pesos govt. permit each person. And if you wish to rent snorkling masks it cost 100.00 pesos. Lunch was included in the package. I was kind of disappointed with the variety of fish. Just 1 type of grilled fish i thought there would be more as Monding (the guy that arrange the tour) explained there would be seafood. But instead there were only that 1 kind of fish. At least it was big in size and there was a couple and few pieces of grilled chicken, cucumber salad, grilled eggplant salad (was delicious), steamed rice and fresh fruits banana, pineapple and watermelon. Cold drinks were water and coke. It was very nice that they set up the table by the beach under some tree for shade. The tour guides Ariel and Martin were very cheerful and knowledgable about the islands and were even great at taking our photos! We really had a wonderful time, saw a sea turtle and tons of tropical fishes. Breath taking view of the sunset from Coral bay resort. Stunning really. Will definitely come back even for a longer stay.

This is exactly what we were looking for. Simple rooms, quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of El Nido town, and lovely and helpful staff.

Although part of the resort is under construction and their kitchen is being redone, we still had the best breakfast here. Homemade bread, banana pancakes, eggs, bacon, coffee, bananas: all delivered to our room if we wanted or we could choose to eat in the beautiful gardens with handmade wooden tables and small verandahs.

Beautiful sunsets here, too, and the privacy made them even better. We went into El Nido a few times to eat(about 3 minute trike ride) but found we just ached to get back to our quiet peaceful spot in Corong-Corong. Simple rooms with beds and small balconies. Rooms had some interesting artwork in them as well.

The best part, was the connection we made with our groups for island hopping. We asked the girl who helped us when we checked in about setting up island hopping and she hooked us up with her friend's boat next door. This was the BEST! The boat's name was Lovelyn and I believe the owner was Raymond. We went out with him 2 days in a row. Amazing spots and he knew when to go at what time to avoid the crowd. Our boat had the capacity of 20 and on both days we had either 8 passengers total or 6. The other boats around us were stuffed with people, loud, noisy, overcrowded. We felt truly so lucky we had to make sure we went back a second day. The lunch the crew prepares is delicious and fresh and the day goes at your own pace and catered to your needs. Make sure you connect with this crew if you are interested in island hopping!

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the front on the water.

Nice resort in Corong Corong (50 pesos by tricycle from El Nido beach) Confortable and clean rooms. The view from the garden is beautiful, even is the beach is nothing really special. Good breakfast. Price a bit high but then El Nido is not cheap anymore so I guess that's one of the best option anyway. One thing that could be improved: when electricity is down (which happens quite often) there is no generator... Also noise from the building in construction next door from early in the morning, but not much can de done about it.

I could not be any happier with my recent stay at this quaint resort along Corong Corong. It’s a well-maintained property with decent size beachfront cottages that will treat guests to stunning El Nido sunsets. It is about 5 minutes tricycle drive to El Nido town proper, which I find too crowded and dark at night so if you are looking for a nice relaxing place that is not too far from town, this is the place to be. They currently don’t serve meals other than breakfast that comes free with your room reservation, but for a 15 pesos ride, we very easily made our way to town for a wide selection of beachfront dining experience.

We did all the tours (A,B,C,D & Inland tour) during our 5 days stay at El Nido and we’re so glad we made the reservation with Ali, who is the resort’s contact person for tours. Through him, we met this hardworking father & son (Mang Rodel and Jaz) who went far and beyond the money we paid them to make sure we are having fun and getting our memories documented, at the same time.

I will be back, and when we do, we hope to enjoy the bar they are now setting up in this lovely place. Salamat po sa lahat ng umalalay sa amin habang kami ay nandyan.

J.Y.

The location south of El Nido is a good option away from the noise of El Nido. The beach is not up to much as its very shallow at both high and low tide. Though ½ hrs walk south is one of the most amazing beaches I´ve seen. Probably be developed in the foreseeable future. Ok back to the resort. The rooms in the main building arn´t up to much, just Ok. The electricity runs on the resorts generator so the aircon is on. Though we stayed at other cheaper places and a fan is all that is needed. Service is good and friendly. And the owners Allan (French) & Bob (UK) are always good for an entertaining chat. Breakfast is also ok. So would we go back? Maybe next time in El Nido we would try another place further south. The tricycles into El Nido cost nothing so no worrys about distance from the town.
