“No doubt, there are better places to stay at Corong Corong beach”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 November 2013

I spent 2 nights here. January is high season here. So there was no Bungalow available and they moved me to a room which was row house. There was a shared terrasse to sit on, each room has it´s own little table and chairs. The standard of the complex is very low. I think I payed 700 pesos per night, it wasn´t good value. But it´s clean and grandmother is doing walks and takes care for the flowwers in the little garden.
The room itself provides only place for the double bed and a dresser. The view from it was to the inner yard but it was only short walk to the beach. Breakfast was poor, only coffee and toast. If you want to go out for dinner or lunch you have to walk to the Greenwich Resort.
The staff (family run cottage) is friendly and helpful. All in all it is not the best choice to stay in the row house unless you are lucky to get a bunaglow. I think there were only three. Maybe nicer there.

Room Tip: Ask for the bungalows. Two bungalows provide a nice view to the beach.

PROS:
Quiet and relaxing location
Great sunset view
Excellent beach view
Relaxing hammocks
Very friendly and accommodating staff
Inexpensive but clean rooms
Very friendly dog (Their dog, Goldie treats you as if you are its owner)

CONS:
Rundown and old comfort rooms
Pillows a bit too soft
Rooms are quite dark
Unsatisfying breakfast (you can request them to cook some meals for you though, or you can just go to the town site -- just tell the staff if you want to go there)

What I liked best about the cottages: The beach view during the morning and sunset :)
What I disliked the most about the cottages: The pillows. Maybe the next time I should really bring my own. :(

Rooms have no TV, but the place has decent Wi-fi.

Located a few minutes away from the town site, I thought that this was going to be a perfect cottage for my Dad. I guess I am right; the staff and the owners (Ate Chat and Kuya Bobot) are very accommodating, and even my Dad (who tends to complain loudly every time he sees something he doesn't like) praised them for the clean rooms, great location and very good service.

Just one thing. It helps that you actually set your expectations that the electricity will be off from 6am to 2pm.

Room Tip: Choose a beachfront room if you want to have a warm shower. Bring some snacks or whatever you needed...

My Husband and I spent 2 nights at Newly Renovated Standard Room with garden view. Room are clean, they provide soap without shampoo.Water Pressure is good. The air con is in good condition not available 6am to 2pm.Budget friendly with free breakfast.

Very friendly staff provide us with everything we need.

Ms Chat and kuya Bobot, the couple who owns this place, are so nice and helpful. They arrage our private tours on island and van transfer el nido to puerto princesa as per our request. They really puts customers comfort first. They goes out of her way to help you with your request. Always try to find out if there are other things we may need.

Excellent beach view.Location is amazing not in the middle of el nido crowd and noise.

Wonderful View to wake up.Staying at Telesfora Beach is like being with nature.

I was very satisfied with my stay .. and i hope ill see u all soon again.. definitely recommended to everyone!

I don't think the two bad reviews are doing the property justice!
Yes, it's in a doggy neighborhood and the rooms are tiny & dark, but quite clean and comfortable compared to other hotels in the area. Electricity is a problem all over El Nido and very few properties are having their own generators providing 24 hrs electricity. On the plus side, Telesfora cottages are right on the beach (maybe not the prettiest) offering very nice sunset views which El Nido town is lacking. Also, it is only a short 50 peso tuk tuk ride into town or to Las Cabanas beach.

What Lonnie said above is entirely accurate. It is situated in a surrounding slum area, there is nothing to do nearby. It advertised electricity from 2pm to 6am...that was a joke. The huts were dark, and even when there was electricty it was a single 40 watt bulb. The grounds were swept daily of leaves from the trees, but garbage was left where it lay, actually swept around! Teenagers hung out and chatted all day with the staff's kids, sleeping in a bamboo hut with roosters crowing day and night was fun and the AC was inoperable. Why not open the singular window? No screens in the middle of mosquito-ville made that impossible as well.

There seemed to be some decent places on the main drag, I wish we had been booked there and really, we should have moved, we just thought it couldn't get any worse so that's on us.

We came this year just before new years, we had reserved and paid for a 3 bed beachfront cottage, and were taken threw a very poor neighboorhood, just in order to hear that we had no room. We were taken to another place in order to find a disgusting, smelling hut at a little narrow dirty beach, and with no toilet acces, due to that someone had left with the key for new year. We didnt accept staying under so bad conditions, we actually were afraid to get sick, and the 127 us dollar we had paid were not at all gettong near the 19 us dollars similar places charges.

Room Tip: Go to el nido city ask at the hotels at the beachfront, you can get a clean and nice room for around...
