We stayed for a week in April.
The hotel is very charming; a little oasis in Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Though no beaches were near, the pool and the friendly staff made up for this. The food is very delicious and reasonably priced. We were also generously invited to the hotel's third anniversary party that the owner and his wife hosted. Dinner was provided for all the guests and employees. Kareoke was a highlight.
We didn't find the town of Puerto Princesa all that exciting but we found a jeepney driver downtown and rented his services; one day we went to the Underground River and the next to Estrella Falls. We also drove about 30 minutes to a hot springs/restaurant.
The Dolce Vita was a great place to return to after a day of sightseeing!

the first word word that came out of my mouth when i entered the room was 'wow'. no word can describe the comfort that my boyfriend and i have enjoyed during our stay at dolce vita. our room (sampaguita) is so cozy and absolutely clean! the fixtures and furniture are cozy and indigenous, not to mention the loft that is an alternative area to hang out aside from the veranda. no need to worry about those annoying mosquitoes because each room has an electronic mosquito killer and aside from that, the hotel surprisingly has a very good and FREE wifi internet access! aside from these things, the guest service is highly commendable! from noemi of front desk who has been assisting us with our trips and queries to kuya patrick who has been consistently keeping up with our requests. ms. janet (the marketing manager) has been also so accommodating throughout our entire stay. everyone that we have encountered has been so friendly and helpful and we feel that we are part of the family. our stay at dolce vita is definitely one of our memorable experiences.

Dolce Vita is situated a little out of town in its own walled courtyard. It is Spanish in character with rooms on two floors. Each room has it's own outdoor table and chairs and often a lounger too, I believe the family rooms have a mini-mezzanine for the children to sleep on but didn't see that for myself. All rooms overlook the garden courtyard where the bar and restaurant are situated, gardens are well maintained and the small pool is clean and refreshing. There's a waterfall feature in the pool too if you want to have it turned on. The rooms are simply furnished with four poster beds and the bathrooms are more than big enough, there were no issues with water pressure or temperature. Rooms are spotlessly clean as are the grounds and the hotel has its own tricycle and jeepney. Breakfast is a plated affair served in the open sided restaurant, both quality and quantity were good for me.
A lovely hotel, well maintained with very good facilities but what really makes this place shine is the staff. They are exceptionally well trained, friendly, approachable and helpful, I can't recommend them highly enough.
