I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Clean and spacious rooms, a charming lush garden and good pizza at the restaurant. Perfect choice for off the beaten track. They have contacts for the tours. Good restaurants nearby. Try the hole in the wall vietnamese soup place nearby. Yum!

Just as others have said, Hibiscus Garden Hotel is a quaint and cozy hotel. Outdoor seating area and hammock by your room. Very easy to chill when you come back from a tour. Staff helpful and friendly. Airport transport is free. Large room and bathroom. Room is very clean. We paid for breakfast however it was inexpensive and very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

PROS:
- Beautiful property
- Warm and cosy ambience
- Top service
- Has actually a garden
- Price
- Clean
- Their restaurant
- Free airport transfer

CONS:
- No in-room Wi-Fi

We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at Hibiscus Garden Inn last March. It’s an accommodation that we unreservedly recommend to anybody when in Puerto Princesa. It has the ambience, good service, and great value. In essence, it is the "package".

While the neighborhood where the hotel is located looks cramped, parched, and dusty; inside Hibiscus Garden Inn, the ambience is cosy tropical. You would be forgiven if you keep forgetting that you are near downtown Puerto Princesa.

Our room. It was exactly what we wanted for a relaxing stay. The bathroom, too, was spacious and came with everything we needed, hot water included. The room and the bathroom, like the rest of the hotel, were very clean and well-maintained. That, for us, is a very important factor.

The garden is the highlight of this hotel. It forms the centerpiece of Hibiscus Garden Inn. It’s a botanical garden with a great variety of plants, flowers, and fruit-bearing trees; and, of course, a Hibiscus plant blooming right in the center of the garden. Hammocks, small seating areas, and even a nipa hut dot the property, free for guests to use. if you get lucky, you might even get to meet "Miming", the resident cat, which seemed to love the garden as much as we did. Watch the YouTube video of Miming enjoying the petting: http://youtu.be/eLXz7f6zCQw

It's such a pleasant surprise that a hotel delivers exactly on their promise namewise--and more. No hype, no exaggerations, no hyperbole--just pure honest-to-goodness relaxing experience.

We stayed here in October 2011. They have free airport transfers. It's near the airport and the delish restaurants. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We also booked our tour with them, which is standard rate for all of Puerto Princesa. Transactions were hassle-free. I noticed we were upgraded to a bigger room. I just wish they have a swimming pool.. =)

What a wonderful place to stay, friendly staff, good food, nice room, lovely gardens and very reasonably priced.

Each room had a table and two chairs on the covered out door area. A hammock was available at all times. The wifi, had it's moments but was generally good.

Many guests have written good things about the Hibiscus, I endorse them all and would like to add some little extras that might help prospective guests.

All the bills were able to be costed to your room (we paid ours after a few days each time, a personal preference).

The staff are very knowledgeable for advise on tours and arrange them without any trouble. You pay the hotel after the tour.

My advise to contact the hotel by email if you wish the underground river trip, as this needs to be booked in advance.

Any information you need in advance from the hotel is always replied to promptly by email.

The staff bend over backwards to help whilst you are there and offer a free airport transfer.

A lot of guests seem to use the hotel on their way to other parts of the island, I would recommend you stay a few days at least. There are the obvious tours that the hotel can arrange, there are numerous restaurants within walking distance, Puerto Princesa is well worth a day walking around and the nature of the Hibiscus demands some leisure time relaxing there.

The in-house restaurant is very nice and offers some reasonably priced meals and drinks. The little cat Mi Mi (don't know how to spell it) gave us constant companionship outside the room. The staff are great. Give it a try, I think you will enjoy it.

Room Tip: Any are good, but there are some available at extra cost with a private garden, but you don't me...

While I only stayed one night at the Hibiscus, it was a treat. The room was large as was the bathroom. Everything worked--cable TV, WiFi, hot water shower, and the A/C. The bed was comfy. The restaurant wasn't fancy but it had good food and cold beer. While it's not air conditioned, sitting near one of the many fans was good enough to offset the heat and humidity. The only downside is that it's not really within walking distance of anything. But, it's a cheap tricycle ride to just about anywhere you need to go in Puerto Princesa. The staff were very friendly. There is a nice central garden area but I have to admit a pool would be more practical (but then I assume the room rates would be higher). I would definitely stay at the Hibiscus again.

Room Tip: They only provide an airport transfer between 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. (or something like that). No worries...

We were scrambling for nice yet cheap stay in Puerto Princesa and we settled for Hibiscus Garden Inn. Since we booked it cheap, we thought the place looks what the price was paid for. But we were all wrong! A "duyan" in front of your room, a nipa hut style accommodation, complete calmness and serenity, you hear only birds to wake you up in the morning, warm and accommodating people to greet and serve you, a sumptuous breakfast... What else can i say? We will book again here when we return to Puerto Princesa!
