After an impulsive decision to go island hopping, me and three other friends went there for the first time. We had to stop by the supermarket for some essentials and snacks/food so it was already around noon when we reached the start off point of the island hopping. The scenic view is very beautiful when the pumpboat got closer to the island. There were only a few people when we arrived at around 2:00 PM, we had our boat guide cook our food for a fee (aside from the entrance fee and boat fee) and we strolled while waiting. The island is simply just an island, don't expect any resort or any kind of accommodation. We decided to leave around 4:00 PM for the next island however the weather turned bad, winds were too strong and waves were literally hitting us so we decided to just go directly back to the port. After more than an hour of struggling in the waters, we finally reached the port with the boat men telling us that we were still lucky to be alive! What an experience! Tip: Start the island hopping in the morning so you can return before the seas turn rough in the afternoon.

We went island hopping from Cordova harbor to Pandanon Island. We left early around 8:00am with our food prepared by our hired island hopping company. We brought extra drinks and fruits. The trip was short and quick, around 45mins, passing by islands like Hilutungan and Caohagan.

When we arrived Pandanon Island, you can see the difference from the left side and right side of the island. The right side is deserted if not for the few native cottages. While the left side is like a mini-barangay, with tiny houses sprouting anywhere.

Its good to arrive early so you can choose the best cottage. Entrance fee is at 150.00 per person. Native cottage is at 250.00. They have a toilet but it is not well kept. I wonder where the 150.00 goes? They could at least maintain a better and clean toilet.

The sand in Pandanon is really white. They have a mini island bar which is good for taking pictures. The water is clear and you can see tiny fishes and starfish. However, you better wear beach sandals as the rocks are uncomfortable for swimming. When we arrived, it was low tide, so we have to make do with the shallow water.

If you come here, bring beachballs, music, etc. as it can get boring with nothing to do unless you only want to eat and swim. After swimming, we were not able to rinse as the toilets do not have water. You can rinse using your mineral water instead.

Went to Pandanon for a day out with Friends. Hird a banka, left from the harbour next to Möwenpick hotel on Mactan. Due to lack of availability at the island, we brought out own food and drinks and rented the big round hut on the island.

I read in another review that the beach was not so good. kinda rocky. I disagree. lots of white sand beaches and a long sandbank going into the sea. Water is clean and clear.

There isnt much else to do on the island than to enjoy the sun and the sea and possibly the company of friends.

As we rented a banca with a big group, I am not sure how to get to the island with just a few people. There are boats going but I am not sure if there is some kind of regular service.

Bring food and drinks, sunglasses and factor 60 and a camera. Great place to go.

btw. the Greek temple ofcourse is just a folly, but it looks nice

The place is very beautiful it's just that the beach is very rocky, not a typical beach to swim for. I suggest that bring your DSLR's because this is a good place to take lots of pictures.
