The rooms were spacious and clean. My friends and I stayed in a suite that that had a living room, dining room, kitchenette, two bedrooms and bathrooms as well as adjoining balconies.

There were no chairs on the balconies though the balcony overlooked the golf course. A pity.

Service was good, with all the staff greeting us whenever they walked past. Service recovery was good as well.

Also, breakfast was just average and we had to battle the flies every morning.
There was also an incident where the bread bun in the Eggs Benedict was mouldy.

This resort has the potential to be fabulous, but unfortunately it appears to have been neglected.

The "suite" was more of a room and had empty spaces where you would assume there should be furniture. Considering it was a "suite", you would expect a chair or two or a sofa and a chair or two on the terrace, none of which were present. It was clean however.

The main pool is nicely landscaped but tired and was quite dirty for half of our visit. The 'infinity' aspect wasn't really true either as clearly the mechanism had been inactive for a long time. That said it was OK. The smaller pool close to our room, near the entrance was modern and fully working, yet spoiled by horrific music, which we asked to be turned down unsuccessfully, despite being the only guests there.

The food in the restaurants was really quite bad. The service staff were friendly and generally helpful, within the scope of their remit.

The golf course did seem to be very good however, and may be what has kept the resort alive.

Given that this hotel is not much cheaper than the Shangri La, I would certainly recommend the latter - I am kicking myself for trying to save a relatively small amount of money.

Dear James H,

Thank you very much for posting an honest review of your stay and of our property. Be assured that we welcome and take each review seriously, and your comments will go a long way in the continued improvement and upkeep of the resort.

That being said, may we know which room you stayed in? We will take into consideration your comments about a lack of furniture and maximization of available space. Moreover, food quality and management in all of our outlets is something we are striving to continuously improve on a daily basis for the benefit of all of our guests.

We would like all of our guests to be assured of the fact that management remains highly committed and involved in providing the best possible experience for our guests. This has and always will be our main priority.

I stayed here with 3 friends for 5 days in October and it was wonderful! The room was clean and modern. The breakfast each morning was delicious! The beach is great but the pools could use some updates. The staff is absolutely amazing! They are so helpful and friendly. The shuttle to D*Mall was great and the free wifi in the lobby was a nice bonus. :)

My family stayed here for 3D/2N, the staff are very hospitable, accommodating, & courteous. We were allowed for an early check-in. From the main lobby we were shuttled to our rooms at Villa3. The rooms are spacious even their bathroom are so clean & neat, with a veranda overlooking the golf course. The place is so peaceful & very relaxing. Each room was provided with microwave. The 24hr security & the shuttle service were exceptional! Though the swimming pool in our villa is not yet operational we were able to swim in their 2 infinity pools, near the beachfront. The beach is not that good, so we have to go at Station 1 near the grotto. Its quite far from restaurants & nite gimmicks, their shuttle service to DMall is only till 10pm. But overall, i would still want to stay here the next time i visit boracay.

I have to say that I have a mixed review of this property. I'll break it down to my positives then negatives. My wife and I stayed 5 nights during the first week of September in a one bedroom villa overlooking the golf course. We stayed here using a time-share exchange through Interval International.
Positives: Check-in was easy and quick and the welcome staff was very professional. The room was very clean and neat. The housekeeping staff and 24 hour security were exceptional and always friendly. Others reviewers had mentioned issues with the shuttles back and forth to D'Mall but we had no problems at all. We had a nice 3rd floor view of the golf course and the rooms were very quiet and peace full. The room was very large for the two of us.

Negatives: No map of the very large property or amenities or a map of the island. (I was told that due to ongoing construction, the map was not yet available for distribution). The room did have a small closet but not contain any dresser for our clothes. We were there for 5 days and we had to use our luggage on the floor to store things like underwear and shorts. (I was told that due to the room remodels, furniture was still on its way). There were two balconies in our room and neither one had chairs and tables to sit outside and enjoy the view. Our room had a full kitchen and yet we were not allowed to cook.

We did not use the onsite dining facilities or the golf course. Due to the time of year we visited the property it rained every afternoon; which we expected. The property itself was well maintained and very clean. It is quite far from the downtown area where the restaurants and night life is. We spent one afternoon at the very large infinity pool and clean private beach. Due to the slow season, we had darn-near had the whole place to itself. Even though we did find some faults, my wife and I agreed that we would stay here again.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Sycamore Bungalow on the third floor which offered a beautiful view of the golf cou...

Hi Exprezchef,

Thank you for taking the time to review and evaluate your stay with us. A very detailed and guest-friendly map of the property can be found in the room's compendium. We are working hard to improve this by educating the staff in assisting the guests, and providing them with ample materials to show once an inquiry arises. We have also noted your observations regarding certain things our rooms lack at the moment. This has been forwarded to management for their action.

Thank you very much and we hope you do visit us again.

stayed here with my family 2 weeks ago for 3 days and 2 nights. spacious. very spacious. they have coasters that go around the place. we were at the Siccamore villa using 2 adjoining rooms. We had a kitchen with utensils but we were advised we not to cook for safety reasons. the rooms are spacious. bathrooms are spacious (they are as big as my bedroom). every villa has a security guard. everybody is friendly and helpful. bad thing is that it is a bit far from the "happening" places, they do provide free coaster rides every 30 minutes from the resort to DMall and after 10pm, you can use a tricycle. i payed P15 for the late night tricycle rides. breakfast is not so extra ordinary.

Room Tip: get adjoining rooms in the villas, there is a kitchen, dining table and living room...

it may be costly but it will give you the definition of paradise. the first stay I had was with my cousin and every now and then, I stay there if ever I have enough budget. the accommodation is outstanding! thumbs up! as soon as you reach the ground level of your hotel room, and you need a ride, maximum of 10 mins there will be a shuttle to bring you to your destination around the place. an infinity pool to enjoy and a beach front exclusively for us! spacious! loving the view!

My cousin and I learnt that sometimes you need to compare the price on the site of fairways itself and on a third party vendor of the hotel because we got one of our booking from a third party vendor cheaper.

Last time I was there was january 2013. Looking forward for my december trip! see yah once again!
