We stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon and this resort was one of the best i have stayed at anywhere in Asia. We snorkled out the front of the private beach, slept in the huge hammocks under the flapping palm trees, had treatments at the spa, ate at most of the restaurants, used the gym and steam rooms - all the facilities and in house activities were first class. The buggy system was great, just buzz the buggy and in a few moments they pull up and take you to anywhere in the resort quickly and its actually quite fun! The staff at the Cliff bar were beautiful and the restaurant staff were more than happy to get you anything and were so friendly! The room we stayed in was away from the main reception area and had a great view over the crystal clear blue ocean, sunset each night on our balcony with a few wines/ san miguels was a real treat!

Room Tip: try a treehouse villa, expensive but really nice and heavenly views

We absolutely loved our stay. Pricey ,but worth it. The private lounge to take you by boat to the hotel ,the wonderful service, to beach loungers and umbrellas for shade at the beach-we couldn't ask for anything more. The rooms are spacious and well decorated .If you go to Boracay, this is the place to stay for true luxury!

We had our wedding in Shangri-la Boracay and stayed there from March 26-29, 2012. We stayed in Villa Balani as part of our package. It's a one storey two-bedrooms villa with it's own private pool and a garden where family can have their barbeque. We had our own Butler who made everything very handy. This villa is ideal for family especially if you have young children. But if you are travelling as a couple and wants a combination of luxury and nature, go with the Tree House Villas which are located on a hillside with stunning view of the ocean in a secluded area.. I've had the chance to see one of the tree house villas few months before our wedding as we were supposed to stay here but had to be upgraded to Villa Balani as our 3 yrs old daughter was staying with us. Both villas were beautifully decorated and has stunning views of the beach and ocean.

The Resort has 4 restaurants but we've only tried 2, the Cielo and Vintana. The food and service were exceptional. You can't fault it. All in all, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay in Shangri-la as well as our families and friends who stayed in the hotel during our wedding. We will definitely come back and would recommend it to others.

Kids recreation area is big and will keep the children entertained.

Room Tip: The villas are secluded and quiet. Some of our families and friends stayed in Deluxe room with private veranda, closed to the recreation areas and quiet enough to make your stay relaxing as well.

We stayed for a week at the Shangri La and it was wonderful. The villa we had on the hill was excellent and the butler was first class. The view was exceptional and the pool very very handy for our daughter. Thanks for a very nice stay
