“Long over due review”
Reviewed 6 June 2013

We stayed at West Cliff Villa for a long weekend and was invited for sunset dinner by the owner with other guests from Korea on their roof top terrace. And the view speaks for itself, amazing panoramic view of the shore line and the sunset. Unfortunately, It rained and we hurriedly move down to the owners apartment below and continued our wonderful combination of Filipino and Korean style food.
The West Cliff Villa is located (http://www.boracay.travel/Westcliff_Villa/accm_location) high up in the mountain cliff. This is the place for you to have your space of peace and quite. And if you wish to go down and mingle, shopping or the beach. It's just a short walk or talk to the staff for a ride on their own converted (first in the island) golf cart transport down to the mall.
The villa itself is designed to have a spiral staircase originally but was changed by the owner's architect and used that as a part of the bedroom where the bed is, ingenious! It has it's own small pool to cool down the hot summer days. You have endless access of the view from sunrise and sunset to disconnect from the world. They have wireless, cable T. V. (who needs it when your on vacation). Don't be surprise if you meet their staff in the dance floor at night clubs in the Island. They deserve to have R & R too.
However, if you're the type who would like to have access to the beach after coming out of the bed. Bluewaves boracay and Mr Holiday is the spot at Station 1. Quite location less people and wider beach. There they have a small kitchen which the staff can really make local dishes and their famous pizza. Bluewaves Boracay is a small house due to restriction of building along the shore line. Imagine the view. So this one is a hot cake, BOOK EARLY as early 6 months or more that's my valued tip to the reader.
Fitness center...walk on the beach and later back to the villa, swim and keep swimming, snorkeling and diving.
I would like to give sincerely thanks to the staff, Lisa, Mia and Mae who made our stay a memorable one. Your friendship and service are better than a five-seven star resort hotel.
We're looking forward to come back soon.
Sincerely,
Ramon Tan

At night, places near Station 1 will flood because of the tide, so as Blue Waves. You need to take off your slipper to walk to beach house and some places the water can come very high. This is the BIG drawback of it. Besides that, they used to take a long time (30 mins) just to serve a breakfast. I would advice you order your breakfast after you wake up in order to save time if you have activities to catch up later.

Yes, it is in Station 1 and it's very quite and peace at night compare to other stations. But you will need to walk 10-15 mins to nearest gateway to main road and get tricycle. At night, it is hard to spot where's the exit that you took this morning. Unless you just walk along White Beach but it floods.

We stayed in the ground floor and the room is quite small. There's no much place for you to move if you have big backpack or luggage. Overall, it is a nice hotel with reasonable price besides some drawbacks that I mentioned.

This is a lovely hotel situated right on White Sand beach. The service is excellent, all the staff are friendly and very service-oriented. Hotel provides beach chairs for the guests, so we lazed there every day. It is such a lovely place!
The breakfast was just ok, but the pizza was very nice (recommended). Next door is a Moroccan restaurant which is also very good.
It should be noted that there is some loud music from the neighbouring hotel on weekends, so bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise.
Transfer from the pier on Boracay island was arranged and worked just fine.
The only improvement area would be the booking system: to secure my booking, I was asked to transfer money to a bank account in the Philippines. This is a bit costly & complicated for international guests, and I wish they could allow paypal payment or credit card guarantee instead.

Me and my wife are so lucky to find this small beach front resort inn on a 5 star location, a HIDDEN TREASURE for us/you to find . The front yard where you can see the beautiful white beach is breath taking! The room is perfect for me and my wife, small but so clean and cozy. (we only got the STANDARD ROOM, but its worth it). The Owner and Staff of Blue Waves Beach House are so friendly and always smiling to their guest and very accommodating in our everyday needs. Alona is always there to supervise our needs, like fresh new towels. She even reserve us the Beach chairs so we can relax in-front of the white beach. I love their breakfast! Everyday i always order the Tocino. I also tried their delicious home made pizza, so so soooo gooood! Thank you for that Justine. I also like to thank Glenda, Mae and Kuya for serving us our food. Thank you all for celebrating my wife birthday. We all laughs and sing as my wife wear the BIRTHDAY HAT that they provided. Thank you for your kind and great hospitality.

Blue wave beach house is at station 1. Every evening, we go to station 2 or 3 to buy some food for our dinner. We always walk from Station 1 to Station 2! Me and my wife don't mind the distance. Our eyes is always occupied of the beautiful sights that boracay can offer us, plus it was good exercise. We always take time walking so we can enjoy the sight of boracay. But we must always be at Blue waves Hotel before 10pm (to avoid the High Tide).

All in all, we enjoyed our 7 nights and 8 days stay in Blue waves. If ever we wanna come back to boracay, i wouldn't dare to stay in other hotel rather than Blue waves. It will be my 1st and last choice. I miss the place. I hope we can come back soon. Thank you Blue waves and its Staff for making our 1st trip to boracay a memory worth remembering! Thank you!!!

Recently stayed 5 nights. Staff were very helpful and welcoming and the room well appointed. The small resort is kept very clean and the food prepared by Justine and her team was excellent. Only negatives - dogs wandering around can be annoying and there is no direct a access to the road.
