“The Perfect Balance”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 November 2013

The Good
-The first thing that everyone will notice is the size of the rooms. They are huge. The balconies are huge, the bathrooms are huge.
-There are only 20 suites (even though they're building new suites) so there is quite a bit of privacy and seclusion for those that want it
-The pool is also huge, and I could have lounged there all day just reading a book while listening to music.
-I loved the entire design for the resort.
-They offer a complimentary kayak for guests to use which was hands down my favorite part of the resort. My fiance and I used the kayak to go to D'Mall, grab lunch and a drink, go to Willy's Rock, and then come back to the resort. Though we ended up being badly sunburnt on that day, it was by far the best.
-Happy hour is the longest on the island. It was something like 3pm till 10pm.
-Breakfast was also awesome. I love the Beef Tapas. I could not believe the amount of rice that I was eating for breakfast, but everything was just so good together!

The Bad
-We ran out of shampoo and body wash twice. For some reason housekeeping did not automatically replenish the bottles even though they came and cleaned up twice a day. I ended up having to leave a note by my tip letting them know that we needed new bottles.
-The flies were a problem whenever we had breakfast, but the staff were always quick to improvise and help out.

The Bottom Line
-I'd definitely recommend Asya Premier Suites for those who want some privacy and peace on Boracay. This not to say that you can't get in on all of the party action on the island, but you do have a place to escape when needed. It was the perfect balance for me. There were some minor nuances here and there, but overall, this property is tops.

Quick Tips
-Don't hire the tricycle taxis or take the complimentary shuttle unless you have to. I always found it a much more enjoyable journey back to the property by simply walking on the beach. It's really only about half an hour walk from D'Mall. Walking on the beach definitely beats being cramped on a little tricycle.

I've travelled to many many countries and stayed in literally hundreds of hotels and resorts and NEVER have I enjoyed a trip as much as my recent visit to Asya Premier Suites. We were lucky enough to stay for 11 days on Boracay and can't wait to return a second time. I could go on and on but here are the highlights.

1. The rooms are huge and the decks are quite spacious as well. Clean, clean, clean.
2. The pool is wonderful! Whether you like to swim laps or just float around in the sun or rain - it's great. Please look at pictures - It's quite beautiful at night and looks a little like the moon. The pool area is so huge that you never feel like you are in other's swimming or sunning space.
3. It's quiet. Boracay has a reputation for having parts of the island that are noisy and busy. Asya is away from the craziness. You can truly relax and enjoy.
4. The staff is perfect. No more to say - they are helpful without hovering. Truly an art and a sign of really good management.
5. They have connections you can trust. If you want to parasail - let them know and they will arrange to have you picked up at the beach and taken to the dock. If you want a sunset cruise, they will arrange it. All extremely reasonable prices - none of the huge markups that you often find with resorts.
6. Happy hour - good prices again and good drinks.
7. Not crowded - there are only a few units so there is never a time that you feel like you are tripping over other guests. We walked to the other stations on the island and everywhere else feels cramped.
8. Private transportation - you are picked up at the airport and driven to a private boat that takes you to a private beach. It's all perfectly timed - no waiting - no hassles.
9. Massage! You can arrange to have 1 or 2 massage tables in your room or on the deck and the cost is very very very cheap. We arranged to have 3 nights of 2 hour massages on the deck during sunset. It doesn't get any better. Less expensive than the many many places on the island and the quality was great.
10. The view - rain or sun (we had both) were truly spectacular.

Other pointers: If you want a great local host to take you on a boat trip or help with water adventures, ask for Freely. Wonderful guy who will go above and beyond and the front desk will connect you to him.

Go to the local wet market (fish market) and pick just about any fish. Take it to one of the restaurants nearby and have them prepare it fresh for you. The local fish are truly amazing.

Ask for a mango shake every day you are there! Breakfast, lunch or by the pool.

Tip: It's quicker to walk along the beach to the other stations if you are up to walking 20-30 minutes. If you take a car or tuk tuk (motorized scooter) it's much longer but quite an adventure.

If you are going to Boracay - this is the place!

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor - better view but all rooms are fantastic.

We stayed a total of 7 nights at the Asya Premier Suites and it was our second stay at this hotel and our 4th trip to Boracay. The primary reasons for returning to this hotel were the accommodations as well as the beach. As far as accommodations is concerned this hotel easily competes with the high-end hotels on the island and if you are looking for seclusion probably delivers the best of what Boracay can offer. The rooms are excellent and extremely spacious - you effectively get what you pay for as relative pricing is on the high-end (in Boracay/Asia) but so is the location ideal for relaxation, beach quality and accommodations. The bar/restaurant areas are laid out well and I agree with previous reviews that the sunsets are spectacular. The hotel has the longest happy hour we have come across anywhere (so far) which invites you to just kick back, relax and enjoy the sunsets from mid afternoon onward. Due to the hotel's location its beach segment is quite secluded and reduces the usual pass through traffic experienced by other beach front hotels in Boracay. The hotel pool is extremely large and offers also lots of areas to lounge throughout the day.

It should be noted the hotel is at the very end of station 3 which offers seclusion but also means that heading towards the middle of the island either requires a walk along the beach or a taxi ride which is quite easy to arrange and is relatively cheap. We've several times walked back from the middle of the island along the beach which is quite nice but does take some time yet it's also easy to grab a bike taxi for a couple of bucks.

The only 'negative' comment I would raise relates to the menu at the hotel which we believe is too narrow and doesn't offer that many choices, especially if you put it into context of pricing of the hotel and general service level (etc). The food quality and presentation is excellent but the choice is limited (especially after a couple of days of stay) which resulted in us leaving the hotel more often than we would have otherwise done to eat out. I am a bit of a stickler for quality hotel food/room service and choice, so this comment may not be shared by everyone but the quantity of selection was certainly a detractor. Service level is great and the staff is doing all they can to make your stay an experience to remember and does so in a non-intrusive manner.

The hotel is best for couples or individuals looking for a completely relaxing (luxury) holiday experience. Less suited for people looking to party into the night which are better off staying closer to the middle of the island.

Stayed for 4 nights in presidential suite, the private transfers from the airport to the ferry terminal then private speedboat to a private cove was amazing, no queuing for the public ferry, gave the stay a great start. I would suggest this is the best place to stay on Boracay in terms of size, although it wasn't peak season, you hardly noticed anybody else at the resort. They are building new two bedroom villas, which was a bit of inconvenience (noise etc), and does mean that I think there will be now more family’s staying there.

The staff were amazing and they all knew our names and greeted us where ever we went. The cocktails and the food were great, and we spent a lot of time just eating and drinking at the resort. The chef was happy to attend to a few special requests as did the bartenders, nothing was too much trouble. The beach is lovely, it’s quite and there are not many non resort guests around. The beach attendants are more than willing to run back and forth to the bar for you, it’s just lovely.

What was hot:
 Amazing Staff
 Airport Pick-up service and speedboat
 Food and Drinks
 Huge Bathroom and Room
 Amazing sunsets
 Perfect white beach

What was cold, and needs attention:
 The bar and service around the pool was mostly empty, was hard to get attention up there, so we always just moved back down to restaurant or beach.

What can’t be easily changed:
 Nothing!

Overall: This place is amazing and worth the extra money, you really do feel relaxed and looked after here.

Would I stay here again: It would be hard to convince me to stay anywhere else, I can’t wait to go back.

Room Tip: Presidential suite is the way to go, especially towards the top of the hill

We hiked the beach to the end and happened upon this beautiful hotel/restaurant. We sat upstairs next to the pool overlooking the beach and had drinks and appetizers while watching a gorgeous sunset. Food was lovely, drinks were strong and service was great. Only negative was that we asked if we could swim in the pool while we were waiting for our meal and were told it would be US $30 per person to use the pool! We were the only people there and just wanted to jump in for a minute. Would have been nice if they let us but other than that it was a lovely break from the craziness of white beach.

At first I was I bit skeptical about this resort. Price was really high considering it is all the way at Station 3 and it does not include transfers from Caticlan to the resort. We had to pay additional. But when we arrive it was like the most relaxing trip I have every had in Boracay. Being at the end of station 3 we did not have to travel far after the boat ride and flying out no need to rush because in 15 mins you can be leaving the beach, on the speed boat and scanning your bags at the airport terminal already.

But of course what was highlight of the resort, it was done beautifully. The rooms has all the high quality amenties like a Bravat bathroom fixtures but the it was designed was it still had that wonderful Asian feel but with all the modern touches. Each suite was designed to give you a view of the the beach. It is sooooo quiet that it was perfect for a time way form the busy like in the city. Transport to d'mall was available, in-room massage, even dinner at Dos mestizos was no problem with the scheduled van transport.

Next checklist was the food at the resort ---- I highly recommend the corn beef sinigang! The food is wonderful! Big servings too! Most important Coffee needs to be good and it is!

The only down side is the beach front was covered with algae - but I think this was all through out the shore line now of Boracay. This was not there when I was in Boracay last 2009. I hope they fix the algae growth as it really turns the use to be blue as the sky water to dark black water.

I think this resort tops #1 in all the resorts I have been in Boracay.

Did I mention we love the circular swimming pool!
