“Great place to stay”
Reviewed 16 February 2012

I highly recommend Villa Romero specially if you're looking for a nice and affordable place to stay during your vacay in Boracay. Staffs are friendly. We stayed here for 3d/2n Feb 12-14, 2012 .. I availed 2 standard room via Agoda. I emailed them for the assurance of my booking and also if I could add extra bed because we are 5 persons. They said that Standard room is good for 2 persons only and cannot add extra bed because room is just enough for 1 double bed. They do some arrangements upon our arrival. When we arrived they ask me to choose which room we would like to stay. So we choose the Room D for standard room. It was nice the room has TV, 1 double bed, nice bathroom with hot and cold, and with balcony. Then they give the Room 1 which can accommodate up to 4 persons it has 2 double bed, TV, ref, balcony and hot and cold shower and toilet .. So they upgrade my booking since we're 3. The published rate for quad sharing room is 2,500/room/night but ate gave it to me 2,000/room/night. I just add 1,000 upon check out from my original price in Agoda. They also have free hot and cold water at the corridor. It nice coz we could save money instead of buying drinking water or order coffee from the resto. Villa Romero has a nice location just a few steps to/from the beach .. Thumbs ups for this place .. I'll definitely go back to Boracay and stay at Villa Romero. More Power!

We booked a standard room for two with a balcony in December 2011 online and my email correspondence with the owners was very friendly; they answered all my queries and were very welcoming, and so my expectations were set really high.

When we saw the room, we found it quite small but the real problem was the terrible smell that came from the bathroom. One of the male housekeepers gave us an air freshener but it didn't work so I talked to the caretaker explaining the inconvenience. She decided to upgrade our accommodation to a room with two beds, a fridge and a more pleasant smelling en suite for the same price that we've paid the standard. It was an irresistible offer! We agreed to stay in the room until another standard became available. Fortunately, the tourists in this hotel extended their stay and we got to keep the bigger room for four days. They cleaned our room on the 2nd day, gave us fresh linen and towels and didn't touch any of our stuff.

I love chatting with the caretaker! She was pleasant, understood my needs, respected our privacy and even recommended a value-for-your-money group boat trip. When others charge 1,500 pesos per person, she endorsed us to a 700-peso 6-hour tour that included free buffet lunch and a trip to Crystal Cove as well as sightseeing and snorkeling. It didn't feel awkward seeing and greeting her by the front desk every morning for four days!

Finally, the hotel is located in Station 3 where most tourists converge for tours, scuba diving and other water activities, but if you're up for partying at nights, dining at pricy restaurants or shopping for stuff at D' Mall, you'll have to walk a good 20 to 30 minutes to Stations 1 and 2. I like the serenity in Station 3 more than the fun these crowded areas offer. At check out, we still got a few pesos off our bill! Overall, I strongly recommend this hotel for a terrific holiday stay.

Room Tip: Don't forget to have a look at their rooftop where you'd get to see a good view of the beach...

I had a very cosy and nice room, with hot water and window. It was not getting hot in the room because of the hot weather, was very comfortable. Quite. Secure.
40 meters to the beach! Small shops are close to it.
Owner of the villa Neneng (Lilivic S.) is sooo nice and open to any of your needs!! Other people there are also very friendly.
I highly recommend it, the price is much lower than in the other places on Boracay but what you get is much better!! Just a little bit distanced from the main clubs, but that gives you a quite sleep in the night :)

With 16 other family members plus kids, this hotel gets the nod of our budget-conscious members. In a quieter side of Boracay (station 3), the senior citizen members got a quieter sleep, while the young ones were able to party at night. As we're a big group, we also get to use their kitchen for big breakfast prep.

Most helpful is Ate Neng, the hotel manager who gave us a personalised service. Her suggestion on where to get the best deal of the helmet dive was quiet spot on. We like the fact that we're able to support locals in their own business.

If u have senior citizen members, tell them ahead that rooms are on second and 3rd floors and there's no elevator!

A minor note is the need for a much cleaner kitchen.

It was our first trip to Boracay.. and Yes It was a GREAT EXPERIENCED.. Villa Romero is the PERFECT BUDGET home to stay.. Its "a hotel that you can call a home not because of the perfect room or so... but the staff itself was really nice

first impression lasts... (When we got there Nanay lend us 100 pesos for the tricycle fee since we dont have enough small bills which made me say to myself "Ang Bait naman nila")

The hotel offers FREE HOT & COLD MINERAL WATER and it was the first thing we really appreciate (tipid talaga).. , CLEAN ROOM (has basic utensils spoon plate a mug and a glass) thanks to the mug naka pag milo kami ^_^ , CABLE TV (were we watched 100 days to heaven) , FREE WIFI (keeps our FB updated) and Super NICE STAFFS (ate made us stay until 3pm even the check out time is until 12nn only). and take note its just a few STEPS away from the shore.

what else can u ask for 800 pesos per night...take note the rate was for high season imagine how cheap it is?!! ^__^ definitely will see you soon Ate! thank you and God bless

Room Tip: Rooms away from the streets are quieter
