We live in London and we wanted to stay in a quiet but nice hotel and we did not regret to choose Argonauta.
Staff was courteous and overall service was great. The location is ideal if guests want to stay in a quiet part of the island. The resort has a very homey vibe and the people are very helpful to get you what you need.
If you want to save money and time best to book activities at the reception(we went to helicopter trip & island hopping & helmet diving) we were only 2 of us in the boat and no waiting time at all we felt like a VIP guests.:)
Thank you for your kindness and suggestions Stefanie!
All the best from London!

Room Tip: We had room 2 with a nice size of balcony!

My friends and I came to Boracay wanting a relaxation vacation - and Argonauta provided just that! Yes, it is situated a little way from the popular White Beach, but we actually really enjoyed that about the location. It was close enough (free shuttle ride from the hotel to White Beach and only 150PHP from White Beach back to the hotel) to get to easily and quickly, but far enough away to not feel surrounded by people the whole time.
The staff really made our stay extra special. Always friendly, smiling and more than willing to help us in any way they could. Stefanie (the owner) gave us plenty of great tips and was more than happy to arrange any tours/trips/activities that we wanted to do. Being a group of 5 girls, we sometimes wanted to do different things at the same time - and this wasn't even an issue for them....everyone was dropped off where and when they wanted to go.
The view for breakfast (and dinner if you wanted) was breathtaking. Yes, there is construction going on next door, but you can look past it and still see the beauty. The food that is prepared for you is amazing - a great reflection of the delicious food available on Boracay.
It was a bit of a shame that there was no direct access to the larger beach down below, but our disappointment didn't last long when we were directed to Baling Hai beach. Only a couple of minutes walk from the hotel - Baling Hai is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING!!!!!! A perfect place to spend the day - with a rustic bar right there where you can order drinks (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) and food throughout the day/night. This became one of our favourite places to hang out.
We rented one of the villas - a 3 bedroom, which was lovely. Plenty of room for 5 girls - but the wifi was quite slow (probably didn't help that we were all trying to get online at the same time). The beds were slightly too hard for my liking, but this is a personal preference which the other girls didn't seem to mind too much.
If I return to Boracay, I will most definitely be returning to Argonauta!!!

In Argonauta´s defense I may say that it was probably our fault (after reviewing so many hotels prior to booking) that we felt a little turned down when we arrived. We had just stayed on the previous nights on Regency, which is a big resort fronting White Beach, so when we got to Argonauta we felt it did not accomplish what we were expecting. It is a small hotel, managed by lovely competent people, that give you warm welcome and pleasant stay, but, that said, the hotel is far from everything and the beach next to it (great one, by the way) is a construction site for the big resort next door being expanded, so that means that there is no direct access to the beach and you have almost constant noise.
PROS: Lovely staff, secluded atmosphere
CONS: outside from everything (15min ride to White beach), the breakfast is given choosing only one option from the menu (not buffet), no access to the front beach (only using the hotel´s driver that takes you to the next door hotel and then, there, they take you to the beach) low Wi-fi signal, the two pools are small, with lots of stairs to climb and don´t see the sun light for many hours.
In general, despite appreciating the friendliness of the staff, we don´t think this kind of lodge suited what we were looking for.

My partner and I booked Argonauta because of the excellent reviews in Tripadvisor! It was a great choice. The facilities are wonderful and service is superb! We were upgraded to one of the Villas, very specious, clean and wonderful view!
The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel like home!
Only 2 points to be improved in Argonauta: towels quality and bed size. Villas are very spacious, however the bed is small!
Unfortunately Argonauta has no access to the beach. In this case we went to a place next door called Bali hai, paid an entry fee and enjoyed a private and unspoiled beach for the day!
Argonauta offers free transportation to D-mall, the shopping and restaurant area in the White beach, which is quite convenient. They are also happy to transport you to other places in the Island! I suggest booking in advance (sun rise point view, pier to the airport, etc).
We loved our stay in Argonauta! Great start of our holidays!

Room Tip: Selected the villas! Great view and spacious!

I had an excellent stay at Argonauta. The location is ideal if you want to be away from the hectic places right on white beach. You can still be wherever you want within minutes with the hotel shuttle at no extra charge. The terrace with a view was great to relax and the level of hospitality and personal care of the owners & staff was exceptional. Many thanks for the stay, far exceeded my expectations!

My boyfriend and I just came back from a superb stay at Argonauta. The team as a whole were extremely competent and hospitable. The manager, Jun, as well as Maricel, deserve special commendation, as they were professional, articulate, helpful, welcoming and non-intrusive. We stayed in a garden view room for the first night and, thanks to Argonauta, were later upgraded to an ocean view apartment when it became available. Both room and apartment were clean. The location is somewhat removed from White Beach and I can see how for some this may be a con, but for us it was a DEFINITE PLUS as you can pop by White Beach whenever you want with a 10-minute tricycle ride through villages, and yet escape from the endless touts, crowds and noise. We had breakfast on the main balcony overlooking the ocean, and right beside Argonauta are two private beaches you can access. Great work Argonauta!

Argonauta is a small hotel in station 4 (north of the white beach of station 1). It's a bit more removed from the majority of the hotels and restaurants. The value of our stay for what we paid is pretty decent.

Pros: hospitality of the staff exceeded expectations. They were knowledgeable and gave good advice about what beaches to go to. The staff also allowed us to check out late, which was really accommodating given our late flight that evening. They also upgraded us to apartment style rooms because they were vacant. Except for some minor things, the rooms were great! The view from our balcony was gorgeous! And they treated us to a free meal upon arrival. Hotel staff provided free shuttle service to beaches. The hotel is more private than other hotels appeared to be.

Cons: the immediate area leading to the hotel is Philippino residential (mostly squalor) and it takes at least a 10 min drive to get to anywhere you want to go. The jacuzzi function of our bath tub did not work and the hot water ran out before the tub was half full. The wifi was really spotty, after 24hrs of attempting I finally found a spot in the apartment that got service but it was so slow my browser would time out. Fortunately the management allowed me to use their computer.

Room Tip: 7A has a beautiful ocean vista and was comfortable.
