Just got back from a 2 night stay at The District to celebrate by husbands birthday & I am very happy for choosing this hotel for our mini break.

The hotel is relatively new & located at the center of where the action is. Food & activities are just a step out of the lobby. D'mall is less than a 5 minute walk. Although at the center, the beach front at this time of our visit was not crowded. We (my DH & DS & I) still had our own personal space to swim in the water & play around the sand

We stayed in the Deluxe room on the 2nd floor facing the pool.

The room was not big but not tight. Just enough moving space to rest & relax after activities in the beach. The king sized bed was comfortable, the aircon cold & the bathroom & room were properly maintained & clean.

We tried the 4 cheese pizza from their restaurant Caruso & it was very good. My 6 year old son loved it.. We ordered the same thing the next day. Food & drink prices in their restaurants are quite reasonable & good.

The staff were very accommodating and genuinely friendly. 5 stars for all of them!

Would I stay here again?? - definitely!

Room Tip: 2nd & higher floor rooms provide more privacy but if you want to be right in front of the pool...

Dear MishaNYC,

Warm greetings from The District Boracay, your contemporary boutique beachfront resort in Boracay!

Many thanks for the great feedback! We truly appreciate every kind words, and for allowing us to be a part of your family’s short break in the island. The 5-star rating is very humbling, and we are happy that we remain to be your top choice of resort in Boracay.

I would have to agree that Caruso Ristorante Italiano offers the best pizza in the whole island. You might want to try the “Caruso” pizza (with tomato, mozzarella, olives anchovies, and Parma ham), their bestseller, on your next visit.

Once again, thank you so much and hope to have you and your family back again sometime in the future! Happy New Year!

We stayed in 6 different resorts during our stay on Boracay in November 2013, and this place has made it clearly into the top 3!

Great central location on Station 2, amazing staff throughout - service was amazing, and special thanks out to Edgar who works in the security and guest pickup/dropoff side of things!
We arrived early, but were offered a welcome drink, cold towel while they processed our checkin, and then we were shown to our Premium room on Level 4 at the back of the building.
Large room, King bed, bar fridge (empty unless you request it to be filled). Also has iPod dock, eco products in bathroom amenities, large shower, separate toilet, but only 1 sink in the bathroom, which makes it hard for 2 people to get ready at the same time. but I believe there might be some premium rooms with 2 sinks, although we weren't offered.
Laundry charges were cheap (1.4kg was 133Php - about $3).
Level 3 rooftop bar has *amazing* views of the sunset and great cocktails!
Beach security were brilliant (thanks again Edgar) - who will give you towels, prepare the shade of your sunbed. Private part of the beach.

Good breakfast selection on Level 2 restaurant, although (apart from the egg station) all the food seemed to be coming from the restaurant down stairs. This also appeared to be the case with cocktails on Level 3 rooftop bar. Even though they have a bar setup, it's largely just for "show" because all the cocktails seemed to be coming up from the Ground Floor. Strange.
All in all, a great stay - and would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Get a premier room at the back of the building, level 4 - large and quite from the street noise in t...

Dear Sayermd,

Warm greetings from The District Boracay, your contemporary boutique beachfront resort in Boracay!

Thank you so much for the honor of including The District Boracay in your Top 3 Resorts in Boracay! We are happy to hear that you enjoyed the amazing sunset view and the cocktails at our Star Lounge, as most of our guests (including ourselves) do. More importantly, we are happy that we are able to meet your expectations, in terms of service. It is of prime importance to us to provide the best possible service to all our guests.

We are also happy that the Premier Room where you stayed was to your liking. Some rooms have a single sink, while others do have a double vanity sink. We apologize if we were not able to offer you the latter, as room assignments are depending on the availability during the time of booking. Nevertheless, we will take note of this, for your future visit.

The food at Vigan Grill (our second floor restaurant) and drinks at Star Lounge (our roofdeck bar) are prepared at our kitchen at the 2nd Floor, for sanitation purposes. Our restaurant at the first floor (Caruso Ristorante Italiano) has a separate kitchen on the ground floor, for the same reason, and to ensure that all our offerings are prepared with the highest level of quality.

Once again, thank you so much for the positive review, and for recommending us to your fellow travelers here on TripAdvisor. The pleasure of having you at the resort was certainly ours. Looking forward to having you back at the resort again next time! Happy New Year!

Sincerely,
Vina Mataganas

I have travelled the world, and have had the pleasure of staying in world class hotels. But I have never had as positive a travel experience than I had at The District.

First, the location. If you have not been to Boracay, I will try to describe the place. Basically, there is a main road, then various small alleyways which are about maybe 30 yards or so in length which lead to the beach. This is where the action is. This beach area is full of bars, restaurants, shops and hotels lined side by side for a couple of miles. The front of The District is right on the sand, right in the most active part of the beach (Station 2). To illustrate, there is literally a sprayer to clean sand off of your feet in front of the hotel. This hotel is without a doubt in the best beach location in Boracay. I walked from Station 1 to Station 3 so I saw every beachfront hotel. There is no question in my mind that The District is in the best location on the beach.

In regard to the facility, it is the newest hotel in Boracay. It is clean, shiny and modern. Reception is in the front, and there are 2 beachside restaurant options on each side of the reception doors. Beyond the reception desk are doors leading to a pool area with a huge waterfall feature, and the rooms. I was in a basic room, which was anything but. It was large, well laid out and comfortable. It had a separate toilet room and shower, with the sink and vanity area in the middle. The beds were true doubles, and were comfortable. The air conditioning was easy to operate and quickly cooled the room, but it was quiet enough to have on at night. The television was a large wall mounted flat screen with lots of channels. The room is highly functional and I would not change a thing, except you need to keep the shower door open or it can get musty so they should ventilate the showers somehow.

Our arrival was amazing. We flew into Caticlan which I highly recommend over Kalibo. Trust me on this one. We were met at the airport by a guy with a sign, who took our bags and lead us to a van. We then had private transportation to our boat, which was about 10 minutes away. The boat was waiting for us, and the guy who met us at the airport continued his personal escort of us by going with us on the boat from Caticlan to Boracay. We did not request or pay extra for it, but our boat transportation was private. It took about 15 minutes to cross from Caticlan to Boracay. I want to note that upon arrival at the airport in Manila, we were put on an earlier flight, so I sent an e-mail to The District notifying them that we were arriving an hour early, and sure enough, they were there waiting for us.

When we completed our journey across the water, we arrived in Boracay and were met by another van which was waiting for us. We were then driven for about 20 minutes to the closest alley to the resort. We stopped, and there was a guy with a cart who met us. He took our bags, and we were led to the hotel.

When we entered the hotel, we were greeted by 5 or 6 people, all uniformed, all smiling. We were given a cold drink and a cold towel. Check in was quick, and off to the room we went. To shorten this review a bit, this process was repeated when we left, with Edgar taking us from the resort all the way to the airport.

We ate at a lot of different places during our trip, but the hotel restaurant, Caruso, was the best. At night, the hotels put their beach umbrellas and loungers away and set up their restaurants on the beach. It is awesome.

But where this hotel hits it out of the park is service. Every single employee, from reception to housekeeping to wait staff to beach staff (Edgar) to security (De La Cruz) were simply amazing. They could not do enough for us. They would race to beat us to the doors so we did not have to open them. Housekeeping would come into the room numerous times a day to clean up, change towels, or do whatever else. Everyone who worked there was young and energetic. Where ever we were, they would stop what they were doing and greet us. While on the beach, Edgar kept the beer flowing, and De la Cruz kept the peddlers away when they got too annoying. Never, ever have I been treated better.

I will mention that the pool area is dead. If it is a party pool scene that you seek, this is not the place. The pool is nice, but it is not a rocking party zone.

It takes 24 hours to get to Boracay for me. If this place was closer, I would be a regular. Great facility, great service, great people, great location. I had a GREAT time!

Thanks, Guys!

Dear bagoda1,

Warm greetings from The District Boracay, your contemporary boutique beachfront resort in Boracay!

On behalf of the whole team, allow me to thank you for the wonderful and detailed feedback, for taking the time to share a vivid picture of what the resort is like here on TripAdvisor. It is always heartwarming and overwhelming to be deemed worthy of a high rating – especially if it is about the quality of our service. We can’t thank you enough for allowing us to serve you and to show you the famed Filipino hospitality in the best possible way we can think of.

We couldn’t agree more that the resort is blessed to be in what could possibly be the best location in the whole island. Being at the center of it all is definitely a big advantage for us, and we are happy that our guests see it as a great convenience to enjoy and explore the island.

As for your other comments, such as the ventilation for the shower area, rest assured that our Engineering Team is already looking at possible ways on how to improve it as this is something really worth considering. Many thanks, too, for pointing out the general atmosphere at our pool area. We try to keep it as relaxed as possible both daytime and nighttime for guests who prefer to take a breather from the much busier beach area, and also for the benefit of in-house guests whose rooms are near the pool.

Once again, thank you so much for the positive review, the pleasure of having you at the resort was certainly ours. We can't wait to have you back at the resort again sometime in the future!

Sincerely,

Spent 3 nights towards the end of October at The District Borocay and was selective as to the hotel choice from Trip Advisor when planning my stay. Booked a premier room that was large and well appointed. Even though the hotel is located in the hub of activity all the rooms are set back from the main strip and are very quiet. All the staff were very professional, friendly and courteous both within the hotel, at the beach and in the many restaurants within the hotel. Ate at the Caruso Italian restaurant and would recommend as the food and service were excellent. Breakfast was included in the nightly rate and had a large selection and was very good. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay at The District Borocay again.

Room Tip: Upgraded from deluxe to premier and was happy that the upgrade better suited my requirements of a bi...

My fiancée and I stayed here for 6 nights on our most recent trip to Boracay and we knew we made a right choice for our accommodation. The location of the hotel is convenient, with the beach at your doorstep and D mall located close by.

The deluxe room we stayed in had sufficient space and was comfortable for both of us. However, it would have been good if we had a bathtub to soak in after a long day in the sun. There were also drilling some days which had jolted us from our sleep.

What made our stay most enjoyable however was the hospitality of the staff at the hotel. They were all nice and courteous. Some of the staff even remembered our preference after a few days at the hotel.

Overall, we had enjoyed our stay. Kudos to the team at The District and keep up the good work!

Dear Mr. Karlmichaellim

Warm greetings from The District Boracay, your contemporary boutique beachfront resort in Boracay!

Thank you so much for the very kind words. We are very happy to hear that you had an enjoyable stay at the resort, and that the size of the room, the location of the resort, and most of all – the personalized service you receive from our staff were to your liking. It is our vision not only to meet, but exceed guests’ expectations that is why it is always heartwarming to receive positive feedback from guests.

We are however sorry for the drilling noise that you encountered during your stay. We particularly scheduled the installation of hand rails during day time when most guests are out for activities to ensure that there is as little disturbance as possible. We do apologize for the inconvenience this has caused you.

Spent a week there, tried most room-types they have to offer - a deluxe room, a premier room and a two-storey suite. Somehow the former makes most sense, the latter is weird but cute yet the bathroom is a bit too far from the bedroom. Premier rooms are questionable, especially ones facing the staircase. All rooms feel like created by an amateur hotelier - not enough space in the bathroom for toiletries, empty fridge instead of a mini-bar etc.
Location-wise - 500 m up or down the beach you can find a much nicer place that avoids the hordes yet gives you access to all the restaurants and bars. So I would only stay in District again if planning to get waisted nightly so that autopilot can steer me home semi-unconscious.

Room Tip: Go for delux - best value for money

Warm greetings from The District Boracay, your contemporary boutique beachfront resort in Boracay!

Thank you for choosing to stay at The District Boracay during your recent trip to the island, and for the kind words about our staff. We are glad to be given the chance to be of service to you.

The whole resort, including the rooms, were carefully planned and designed with great consideration on the overall comfort that it can provide to guests. We understand that you prefer a totally different look and we respect that, but please know that it is only in our best interest to provide the most comfortable stay to all guests.
