“Unforgettable Hilltop experience.”
Reviewed 12 April 2014 via mobile

We stayed at the Sun Villas for 5 days and we were grateful that we chose this hotel. For the first 2 nights we stayed at the hilltop and the other 2 nights we stayed at the beachfront. I loved the hilltop experience more than the beachfront bcause 1st it has an inviting pool 2nd is that the staff are all prompt and really accommodating! 3rd is we were really impressed with the detailings of the place and lastly it was really relaxing! The only nice thing about the beachfront is that its beachfront and thats it.

Hilltop pros:
With adult pool and children's pool and spa
Free shuttle
Really friendly staff and duty managers
Welcome souvenirs and drinks were the best
Hardbound souvenir
Near d'talipapa
Quiet and relaxing
Huge rooms and bath
comfy beachbeds and towels

Hilltop cons:
No restaurant only breakfast menu
Casitas rooms are full of mosquitoes

Beachfront pros:
Conveniently located
More pillows
With restaurant and spa and observation deck
Restaurant turns into a mongolian buffet at night
Lovely souvenirs and drinks
Friendly staff

Beachfront cons:
Tiny rooms! Seems like were gonna suffocate
For Rooms at the ground floor you can hear the noise from the houses, barking dogs etc
Duty manager is not that into loyalty mktg. We stayed for 4 nights and were asking for a dscount for our 5th night so we could extend but she didnt even bothered to ask the owner or whoevers in charge she just simply said no.
Observation deck has lots of mosquitoes as well
Beach beds doesnt have foams so if youre gonna stay long your back will possibly hurt.
The pathway was dirty and we didnt feel safe

SPA feedback: i am a spa enthusiast and for me the footmassage was just plain. Price was a bit pricey and the masseuse kept on looking at her watch like shes in a hurry which is not good.

But Overall we enjoyed our stay! We will still come back. :) I highly recommend Sun Villa Hilltop!!! :)

I traveled to The Sun Villas this February with my company for 17 people for a staff retreat. The location was excellent! A 2 minute walk down the hill and you are at D'Talipapa (food and shopping market area), 5 minute walk and you are on the white sand beach, and a 10 minute walk gets you to D'Mall. The location was quiet and lovely.

The location was perfectly quiet once inside the exterior walls. A large pool, with small kiddie pool, great massage at a good rate, a good selection of food at the restaurant. Totally enclosed small hotel (which is set up more like individual bungalows) right off the beaten path was extremely safe, 24hour security guarding the entrance.

The staff were excellent, each one had a great attitude and willingness to make our stay exactly what we needed. The restaurant area also had a comfy couch seating area (our staff hit quite comfortably together).

The Villas themselves were rustic and natural feeling. Lots of beautiful nature, water features, trees and very peaceful.

This was an excellent stay in Boracay, we would absolutely return in the future!

Wonderful place to stay. Tasty breakfast. Lovely staff.. all you need is available just request it (kettle, hair dryer, beach towel and room service) Less than 10 minutes walk away from white beach by D'talipapa they have a shuttle as well if your lazy to walk..

We will definitely going back in this hotel.

Husband and I spent 6 days here loving every minute of it! We had a casita that was just one room with 2 queen beds and a single. Nice size bathroom with shower big enough for 2 - water pressure was low however we managed. Our own private porch was very nice. The swimming pool area was relaxing. We had a delicious breakfast every morning at the restaurant on site. One night we had a very romantic dinner there that was delicious!

Please understand though it's very laid back and since we are not fussy folk it was perfect for us. The staff was very friendly and helped secure a tour for us to Crystal Cove that was a lot of fun.

The location is not on the beach - you have to walk up a steep hill to get to this place - walk down to get to the busy road - careful crossing - very careful! Then walk through markets/stalls about a 8 minute walk more or less to get to the beach area. One thing that would have been very helpful was if Sun Villa provided beach passes so we could get chairs on the beach from one of the local hotels. We were able to rent them from some of the hotels but everyday they gave us different prices, this was very annoying.

We had to leave at 7am and Sun Villa had breakfast prepared for us at 6:30am and drove us to the area where we needed to get a trike. Gotta say I had tears in my eyes leaving such a beautiful place. Thanks Sun Villa!

It's a really great place, boyfriend and I had an amazing time staying there, I was surprised to see how few reviews it got on Tripadvisor and decided to contribute one.
It is 5 mins walk to the beach, quiet hide away in the hills, surrounded by lush greeneries and trees.
Service is real nice. free shuttles to and from Dmall; when we were leaving ard 5 in the morning, they offer breakfast at 4.30; staff accompanied us to get a tricycle.
Beautiful pool, dining and lobby, decoration and furniture were really nice and got a local feeling to it. Well kept and clean.
I personally recommend for couples. Boyfriend and I loved it and had a great time. Thanks, Sun Villa and Spa.
