it's 20-30 min walk from mandarin hotel on the right side.we walked so far because we wanted a quieter place to enjoy our sunbathing, away from children.the waiters were alert, the fruit platters delicious and hidden there is a spa that is splendid.even if it was pricey(1000pesos-in manila it's 250-300 pesos with tip included) it was worth it. so if you look for a quite place to admire the view,i highly recommend it !!!

I would come back over and over and over again. It's quite funny that no matter how much competitors slag off the island here, it always end up as a top choice by a lot of travellers. Not only on Tripadvisor but also on Travel + Leisure among others.

The beach is fairly clean and regularly combed in the morning and in the late afternoon. There's heaps of things to do too and the people are generally laidback. It's definitely better than the other beaches in the region.

Truly God's creation! Been to Koh Samui where food attendants don't know how to speak english. In Boracay, you are spoiled! Nice fine white sand, 5 kilometer wand sand beach, a lot of restaurants to choose from fancy to the cheapest restaurant and a lot of water activities to do. But i had a bad experience when we had sunset sailing. the guy said 600 pesos for one hour for 4 pax but only 30 minutes. so make sure before you ride the boat tell them you will not pay them if they don't stick to the agreement! I just didn't want to ruin my vacation by reporting them!

Upon first viewing, it looks like paradise, a 5 km long beautiful white sand, palm fringed beach with turquoise water and chocolate box cottages at one end. You can't deny this beaches beauty, or deny it's inclusion as one of the world's top ten beaches. However, for me, it's popularity is also it's downfall. Mass tourism brings crowded beaches, a multitude of beach front development, hawker stalls, touts, pimps, wandering hawkers that won't leave you alone, and of course everything is over priced. It may seem relatively cheap for Europeans, North Americans or Japanese/Koreans ...etc, but it is still over priced compared to what else is on offer in the Philippines. I've travelled around the Philippines fairly extensively over the last 3 years and have found many resort and beach locations that are almost as good for a quarter of the price you have to pay in Boracay.
It's worth going to see what all the fuss is about, but 3 or 4 days is enough. Personally, I prefer Bohol and Panglao Islands in The Visayas or Palawan Island
