We arrived and was instantly taken care of, great service and a nice hotel!

as said, if you don't mind walking 5 minutes to get to the main beach this is a great hotel.
Nice pool area (few seats though), great breakfast buffé (for being in Philippines that is) ;)

we had a very nice week on Boracay and the Hotel was all in all superb!

It was my first time in Boracay. I went there to rest and not really to party so I guess the resort was like a haven to me away from all the activities at the beach front. It rained during our stay but we were still able to lounge around the pool and enjoy their bar.

I didn't like their breakfast, it was bland for my taste but I did like the food they serve for lunch and dinner! The room was cozy and clean. The service was fast. The staff are friendly and efficient. I would definitely return to this resort.

It was just shy of being 5-star, but I was happy nonetheless. I got a good deal for it on www.hotelscombined.com I recommend getting your rom on there, as it is much cheaper.

The only thin is about the location, as others mentioned. The road to White Beach is dingy and floods when it rains. That is not the hotel's fault, but it is something to consider. The restaurant in the hotel is decent and not overly expensive. Portions are quite large. I recommend the salads.

The icing on the cake was the day we left. We were flying out early, so the hotel packed us a breakfast and had it ready for us when we left, no extra charge. They even gave us 2 bottles of water. Excellent and great memories.

We just got back from two night stay at Boracay Tropics and what can i say, it was perfect! We arrived at the resort around 4PM and we were greeted with warmth smiles from the front desk and in less than 5minutes, welcome drinks arrived and we were ushered to our room. And we were very happy with our deluxe room. It was spacious, spotless and very cozy. The comfort room was amazing, they do have a complete set of bathroom amenities. The design of the hotel was perfect, i think the theme of the hotel is modern asian inspired. What you see in their website is actually the same in person, very tropical and there is this homey feel every where. We then immediately unpacked our things then went to the beach. By the way, Boracay Tropics is a non-beachfront resort. It's located at the main road and the entire time, i think it took us arount 5-10minutes walk to and from the beach and the resort. We didn't mind having to walk at all but it could have been a lot better if the resort was in beachfront.

Foord was great! We had a quick snack after taking a walk that early evening. The resort restaurant staffs were very courteous and will attend to your needs very promptly. The servings were also big enough and were actually good for sharing and prices were just reasonable. That night we just decided to stay at the hotel and lounge by the pool area. They had an event that night, i believe it was the resort's Christmas party. But when we ordered some booze and beer match, still the service was pretty impressive. Unfortunately they didn't have much choices in their menu. Our package came with free breakfast buffet, choices were just ok nothing spectacular but it was good and very filling.

On our 2nd day, we requested to have our room cleaned and it the service was consistent prompt and efficient. They did replaced all the towels used, the free in-room coffee and the toiletries. They also folded some used up clothes that we left on the couch. Kudos to room service!

On our 2nd night, we had a massage. We made reservations like only 3hours prior to the massage treatment and again it was very prompt. We had the massage at their spa center, the place was Asian inspired again. The price was a bit higher compare to the one's being offered outside the resort. I did not quite enjoy the massage because im not sure if the massues really knows how to do it or i'm just used to having a massuer with more pressure put on the massage. Nonetheless, it was relaxing because of the oil that they used.

Our overall experience with Boracay Tropics was superb!

We stayed here for nearly two weeks and were very sorry to leave. The Tropics is another little Boracay oasis.

The room, containing two double beds, was immaculate. The bulk of the rooms are contained in a two and three story block. There are a few Cabanas (honeymoon) and a couple of executive-type suites that were extra nice – should one have the extra $’s.
The room was a good size, spotlessly clean, as was the bathroom. The housekeeping was amazing. There was a small balcony overlooking the pool and surrounding gardens.

The pool is a good size and beautifully kept - a pleasure to swim in --- and relax around. Free beach towels awaited every visit. It would sit well on the Australian Gold Coast.

The tropical gardens are a treat and a credit to the resort’s dedicated gardener, who clearly takes great pride in his labour. There isn’t a leave out of place. When I have time, I will post some photos to prove my point.

The resort is placed on the corner of Main Road and linked to the beach by a small roadway that takes one past the local police station. Main Road is busy, with motor trikes and small vans ferrying people up and down the Island. Despite the resort’s proximity to Main Road, there was no noise impact in the room and only a gentle background hum around the pool area.

White Beach is bustling, especially at night, with live rock bands and other assorted musical sources pounding the environment. We enjoyed the ability to retreat back to the Tropics and its tranquillity.

The Tropics is well located in our view between Stations 2 and 3. Most of the venues and activities we enjoyed were comfortable walking distance.

The Filipino- oriented breakfast buffet was reasonably modest. One day I commented that I missed my usual holiday breakfast fare of bacon and chipolata sausages, to complement the egg. From that point --- and to my surprise --- every morning at breakfast I was delivered side serves of the mentioned food items. That’s service!

There is a Spa located on the ground floor near the pool. It was excellent.
We paid around $A75 including breakfast per night at the Tropics and considered it value for money.

Some nearby things we enjoyed were the Spanish Restaurant located on the small roadway linking the resort to the beach --- just past the police station. It has great ambience, food and service. Turn right at White Beach and a hundred or so metres down seek out Victor, at the Victory Bar. He’s a delight to enjoy a beer or cocktail with and watch the passing parade. Victor was born on the Island and knows what’s happening.

A bit further down is Summer Place which emerges in the evenings. It’s a cool joint with eclectic music and drinks.

Given that White Beach is some 4kms in length; one can tire of the walking. We constantly used the trikes and found all the drivers considerate and responsible. They know every hotel, bar and venue. For a dollar or less you can zip down to D’Mall or D'Talipapa. At the latter you can select a superb array of fresh seafood and then take it to one of the adjacent street restaurants to have it cooked.

At the Main Road entrance to D’Mall’s is Crafts, the Island’s closest thing to a western-style supermarket and department store. The store covers a number of floors (no lifts). Further up is a genuine Bengalese restaurant, which also prepares food for the patrons of Crafty’s bar on the rooftop.

On first glance Crafty’s looks a bit rough around the edges, but it is a terrific place to hang around. It’s run by the delightful Australian Big Steve and Kiwi Russell, who are connected to Crafts. You’ll meet a lot of locals and ex-pats and get the low down on the Island and what makes it tick. Big Steve will seek you out and make you welcome and talk to Manny about his brother's Island hoping adventure. We did and the boat trip and lunch on Crystal Island were excellent.

For a bit of fun try Mama’s Austrian restaurant. You’ll need to take a trike because it’s up the hill en-route to the awesome Shangri-la resort. Marcus is a character and you’re sure to enjoy his company and the food and beverages. Try visiting the Shangri-la mid-afternoon and retuning to Mama’s for dinner.

The Shangri-la is out of this world. The beach bar is the spot, especially during happy hour. The trike will drop you off at the gate and the resort will send a vehicle up to take you down. A must visit!

Back to the Tropics! It’s a really well run establishment, that given its price range, is without discernable blemish. We checked out Jony's and The Boracay Beach Club while we are there and both were also agreeable and located closer to the beach. But you can't beat that Tropics pool and the amazing garden!

Enjoy Boracay! If anyone would like any further observations feel free to email.

We went to Boracay for a week. We stayed at this hotel the whole time, having booked it online. Its only a few minutes walk to the beach, the rooms are a good size, service was fine. Breakfast was quite nice. Swimming pool is lovely. I probably wouldn't stay at this hotel next time, as there are many others to try which I feel may be better. The reason we did choose this hotel was because they have the swimming pool. Oh the other thing about this hotel is that a lot of families with children stay there. As we were there for a romantic week away, it wasn't ideal for us.

While on holiday in Boracay lived at the Best Western Boracay Tropics Resort. The hotel is located at the intersection of the main island road and the road leading to the beach. Go to the beach 5 minutes walk past the tourist center. Upon check-in receive a free upgrade to Deluxe Room. We first booked a room for 3 days, but then decided to extend for another 15 days. It was nice that the staff made some concessions, and reduced the price twice. Lived in a Deluxe Room. Clean, spacious and comfortable room. There is a fridge, free wifi, in the bathroom the whole set of soap and hairdryer. Small balcony. The hotel area is beautiful with a swimming pool. Pleasant, helpful staff. Breakfast is typical for the Philippines: rice, fruit, eggs, two kinds of bread, juice and coffee. There is a lounge where you can do a manicure, pedicure, massage, children's playroom. During his stay at the hotel was pleasant to find in your room fruit basket from the staff with gratitude, but also present in the form of branded t-shirt away. In addition, the hotel provided free shuttle service to Caticlan Airport.
