Boracay Holiday Resort

Stayed here back in October 2012, with a fd.
Although it is a bit dated but still, would think it is useful insight to share.

Location - We understand the hotel is 5 mins walk away from the beach and thought it was ok.
In reality, when you get to boracay and see all the beach from hotel, that costs similiar rate, but with a restaurant right in front of the beach, you would regret.

Room - it is not as pretty as how it looks from the website. very old and not too tidy (we had quite a few geckos in the room) also, aircon is not cool enough.

Food - didnt try the food

Internet - it was free in the lobby and rather stable

Facilities - the pool was dirty and no one was there. Not sure if the place has any other facilities.

Things to watch out -
We had henna tattoo done on the street and a few dots went on the bed sheet.
They will charge you for the whole bed sheets when you check out and cost around USD15 - 20 per sheet. So if you have any henna done, please wrap yourself very well before going to bed.

Suggestion -
Go for hotels that are beach front

Looking forward to staying here again! 'Twas Good Value for our money. Our room is on the 3rd Floor and had the best view on the pool. Their were lots of constructions around however it didn't bother us as we couldn't hear the noise. The pool is just so clean and couldn't resist a dip in the morning before heading to the beach and lazing in it in the afternoon before going out to dinner.
Our room was perfect for us as a couple. Yes we had to carry our baggage to our room as they do not have elevators however we knew this before we booked. Wifi is not available in rooms and we also know this prior to checking in. The power outages was understandable due to Typhoon Haiyan. The hotel had a generator as a back up but it eventually packed up too. As for the hot water, we asked any alternative from the hotel and they let us use the empty room on the first floor that has the hot water. Breakfast was average as it was cold so we asked the staff to heat it up for us which they had done. We are planning our next trip to Boracay in May and we could stay in another hotel but just couldn't resist the pool!

Very disappointed by this below average resort.
No hot water in the room, room not cleaned for three days & then had to ask, breakfast food cold (not heated at all) & very poor quality.
I recommend that people look elsewhere, I'm sure for the money spent you can get a lot better.
I will not becoming back.

Our stay here was unexpected. We were to supposed to stay in another hotel that turned out to be a disaster--misrepresentation, and horrible customer service. Luckily, Boracay Hotel Resort was just along the same street.

We were happy to get a Villa that was in promo at 50% a night. The Villa type has two rooms and a cooking/sala area good for 6 people.

The staff are really nice and provides good service. The breakfast is also a nice treat from 6 to 10am.

The beach is about 5 minutes walk and the McDonald's is about 2 minutes.

Room Tip: Avoid the bar or pool fronts since these can get noisy at times.

Pretty poor hotel. Crap staff. Horrible breakfast. Rubbish service. Good location. Non existent wifi. Pool bar really loud with no one even sat there. Probably a great hotel for 'locals' not so good for travellers/backpackers

We were looking for a Family Room on Boracay to accommodate a Family of 4. This is almost impossible to find on the Island as most hotels on the Island consider Children over 6 years of age to be Adults, requiring their own room. This is not safe and works out to be expensive paying for 2 separate rooms. Boracay Holiday Resort allowed us to have 4 in a room, we had 2 Queen Beds in a decent sized room and Buffett Breakfast for 4 People. An extra Visitor only cost us 260 pesos ($6USD) for Breakfast. The location was closer to the beach than we thought. Mc Donalds is just down the Street and its close to walk to D'Mall and D'Talipapa Market. The Pool was spotlessly Clean with Life Guard on duty, and the Pool was huge in size, with a Water Slide. My Kids loved it. The Buffet Breakfast was a bit lacking some days but great other days, depending on what you like to eat. For the Price we paid, we were more that satisfied.

We stayed here as our dragon boat team cannot all be accommodated in the other hotel. Not a bad choice as this was also near where the race was held.

Our room was on the second floor with a common balcony overlooking the pool and the bar. The room is large and clean. We used the balcony to dry our clothes.

Air-conditioning unit is a bit noisy. Water pressure in the bathroom shower is quite good.

You can easily can a staff whenever you need one. There is a security guard at the entrance of the hotel.

Room Tip: If you'll stay near the pool, get a high-floor room to minimize noise. Otherwise, a room on the...
