Rain came down hard on the July 6, ruining our experience here. Can't blame Microtel Inn for that, but if they had a better restaurant on site, we may not have had to hit D-Mall, which has all the good restaurants (though we never found one). We had a free meal at Zuzoni on the beach as part of the Microtel Inn package. By the time we reached the restaurant, all of our clothes were soaked, it was storming so hard. The bad part about Zuzoni was a small pour of a glass of wine for 180 pesos. If it was a good pour, I would have bought another glass. Also, I had the clam luguini and there were few clams in the shells. As for the hotel. nice staff, but the halls smelled like urine, as other reviewers previosly commented. I liked the room and the air-con. The bar didn't know how ot make a mai-tai. The worst I ever had. Breakfast was mediocre, also. They really need to improve their restaurant, that way hotel guests would stay there and eat instead of hitting D-mall. Makes sense to me.

Thank you for taking time to post a review on your recent stay with us.

Please know that your feedback is greatly important to us in improving our service and property. Rest assured that your comment on restaurant quality will be addressed. We are also pleased that you rated our staff and sleep quality as good and marked an above average rating for our service.

It is unfortunate that our current season doesn't warrant sunny weather in the island but it is our hope that you will give us another opportunity to serve you in the future.

Arrived 1st May to find beach washed away. But found out that two days after we left on 7th May it was back . This is a little piece of paradise on Boracay.
Lovely quiet position away from the noise of White Beach but yet within easy reach with a short beach walk or the free shuttle to D Mall. Our room was very quiet and quite roomy and clean (Suite) . Individual airconditioner and ceiling fan to keep cool. TV & fridge. Watercooler on each floor was handy and tea & coffee machine all day Free. Computer access was also available. Hotel had a spanish feel with tiled floors etc. Staff were excellent and breakfast was included. You are made to feel like this is home away from home.Polite and friendly service from ALL staff especially at breakfast and dinner.
Fantastic sitting under a palm tree and gazing at the amazing view (picture perfect)
So Thank you to Allie and ALL the staff for making this a most enjoyable holiday. Hope to be back.

If you dream of sipping a cup of hot coffee under a coconut tree on one quiet morning in Boracay, I recommend Microtel Boracay. I like this hotel because of its location- nice and quiet, a bit far from the busy station 2 of Boracay.

The hotel staff were friendly and very accomodating. The rooms were nice, clean, and well-appointed. The beach however kind of disappeared. They said comes June it'll come back. Nevertheless, they got a nice pool. Restaurant food is expensive but tasted average. I must say not worth the money. Instead, check out the nearby Wahine Bar. Same prices, expensive, but they got superb food. The hotel also offers free shuttle service every 40 minutes to D' Mall- gateway to station 2 where most of shops, clubs, and restaurants are located.

Over all, Microtel Boracay is a nice choice if you look forward to a relaxing and quiet beach vacation.

The Microtel is ideal if you wish to be on a quiet beach away from the crowds.

The hotel provides a free shuttle to the bar and restaurants on White Beach so you have the best of both worlds.

The hotel has a lovely pool, but unfortunately the sun disappears about 2pm. There was no beach front when we were there in May but we were told that this appears later on in the year. This was no problem as we used the sunbeds on the beach at the Wahini Bar free of charge, which were free of charge as long as you buy drinks or lunch.

If you want to relax and just soak up in the sun while drinking your favorite cocktails and eating comfort foods, then this is the place for you..
First of all, this is not a beachfront hotel.. there is no actual beachfront in this hotel, you have to walk to the side to swim in the beach but even if you do, there is just a thin strip of beach that you can use. This is no station 1 type of beach in other words. But nonetheless, if you are travelling with adults (no kids--they like great beach fronts), this is the place for you.
wind blowing on your face, sun kissing your skin, unlimited coffee, computer available by the lobby, free shuttle service, recreational area for kids, the list could go on... you might even fall asleep in one of their lounge chairs by the seaside.. :)

Don't forget to try wahine, which is also owned by the mama's fish house.. their quesadillas are the best..

I recommend this hotel because it is nice and quite. We traveld with our two children and it was a pleasant stay. We arranged a hotel pickup and it made things easier, besides having a delayed arrival the gentlemen was still waiting for us. They day we arrived it was my sons 5th birthday, and upon my request they had a cake and ballons waiting for him when we arrived. Thanks! The staff was very welcoming and happy to help with your needs. The hotel is nice and clean, the staff is always making sure it looks spotless. It has a small playground and toys for the kids to keep them entertained if they are not in the pool or at the beach. I know that some have complained on the little choice of food for breakfast but in reality it has just enough for breakfast to be complete. Overall I am glad that we stayed here. It is only about 10 min away from white beach by local transport and the hotel provides free transport to and from main center. A nice walk along the beach will also get you to white beach in the same amount of time!
