I've been to MR Holidays as many times as I've been to Boracay. That's about 4x from 2008-2011 and I'm going there again this August 2012. If you're not looking for fancy rooms with ipod docks, uber soft pillows & beds, carpeted floors (you get the picture, right?), then this is the perfect place to stay in. Yes, you have to walk a little to get to the place because there's no direct access from the road, but hey, you're in Boracay-- you're supposed to walk on the beach! The location is perfect for relaxing. The beach is right in front of the hotel and it's far away enough from the noisy Station 2 crowd that you can enjoy the soft sound of the crashing waves and the swaying of the trees. The rooms are very affordable and the staff are friendly and accommodating. Honestly, if I was selfish I wouldn't even be writing this so I won't have to worry about the competition when booking rooms, but they DESERVE to be talked about and they DESERVE to be known because they offer one of the best deals in Boracay!

Room Tip: Choose a room somewhere near the balcony area (facing the beach). Those on the other side of the hal...

CON: before arriving, you have to walk for 5 mins on the beachwalk because they dont have an access to the main road..its ok, but very hot during mid-day...

would i recommend? yes, specially for families:)

Room Tip: if you arrive during mid-day and whenever the sun is up, bring umbrella and be ready for a short wal...

It was an "ambush" stay in this hotel. I have been eyeing some nearby Station 1 hotels but upon seeing the room & the bathroom (I am picky with toilets), I am decided. It was relatively cheap for a high peak season (Php2,400/night for a superior room) so we took it already. I did not expect hotel-like atmosphere, but service-wise, the staff are commendable. We took the room 12 which is on the 3rd floor of the building and not a single rant was heard by my boyfriend from me, which is rare. :) There were always clean towels awaiting for us in a small lobby. We even left our camera with the reception when we took a dip. While away, we ask them to have our room cleaned and they did, and our stuff is just the way they were when we left them which is how we wanted. Umbrellas inside the room is available for use too! I just love how i sleep soundly at night knowing I have nothing to worry about, like a noisy neighborhood, or a leaking A/C.
Breakfast is served a few steps away in a quaint store/kitchen (Katrina's Kitchen). One cannot expect a really delightful meal but just enough to fill your tummy (hence, it is free). You can choose from a variety of the free breakfast combinations they offer. We opted for a typical Filipino breakfast - fried rice, egg, choice among fried fish, "tocino", "longganisa" and a single serving of instant coffee.
Location-wise, it is perfect if you are not a fan of the nightlife. However, you can hang out at the Moroccan-inspired resto which is beside the Katrina's kitchen. Beach beds are also available here.
Would I recommend this place? YES.

Room Tip: Rooms with balcony are available as well.

Our hotel accomodations are already part of the package we got for Boracay. We upgraded to a Superior room. It has 2 double beds, very spacious, has a TV, open cabinet for clothes and things. The room is very clean, spotless. Towel, shampoo and soap are available. They have an umbrella on standby for guests to use on those rainy Boracay nights, which came in handy for us. We stayed for 2 nights and our room was cleaned on our second day without us asking. Our personal things are in order and fresh towels are stocked.

Location: As mentioned by other reviews, it is located in the prime Station 1, between Discovery Shores and Ambassador of Boracay. The only thing I don't like about their location is they don't have access to the main road. So to arrive to this hotel from the port, you have to use an entry way near Sea Wind and walk maybe around 500 meters. I don't mind it in the late afternoon, but when it's scorching hot, it can be inconvenient. This is also not a beachfront hotel, but the advantage is they have a shared beachfront area with 2 other hotels. It's nice, there's a snack bar, lounge chairs and you can have your breakfast here. As a bonus, we were able to watch a sunset wedding on the other hotel while lounging on the chairs.:)

Staff: They are very accomodating, we didn't have any problems dealing with them. There were a number of times they gave us beach towels on our way out to the beach and when we returned (on instances when we didn't bring one on our way out).

The hotel's cleanliness and service is comparable to the expensive hotels beside them, but for much less money! They're not the cheapest on Boracay island, but the experience and value you get is much more than what you're spending in this hotel. I will recommend this hotel to friends!

Room Tip: For those who are sensitive to noise, pick higher floors because the chatter in the reception area c...

Me and my friends stayed here last February 26 to 28, 2011. Accommodating and approachable staff, reasonably priced, relaxing and a good place to chill at Station 1 and just a few steps away from the beachfront. They served breakfast by the beach. Will definitely go back and stay at MR Holidays again.. ÜÜÜ

Looking for a quiet and affordable place along the white beach of Boracay? check out Mr Holidays! lined up/ in between the "bigger" hotels like discovery shores, ambassador etc down at Station 1... not as pricey as those bigger hotels but you get to stay in the prime area of the white beach! more chillaxed environment at a very affordable rate!
