I was in Lahug and found this "mall" because I need to buy something. To my dismay, they don't have most of the things that I want. The place is just very ordinary, I don't even call it a mall (not to my standards). The grocery section looks just like a warehouse with chashiers on the entrance.

This is the worst store not just in Cebu, not only in the Philippines, but in the entire planet I believe. I had the worst customer service experience here. Particularly from their supermarket. I had bad experiences in the past though I just ignored them, but the recent one really pissed me off. It's a store with rude frontliners, from the sales personnel down to the security guards. Funny thing is that these people don't know anything about the value of customer service, perhaps were never oriented by the owner, whose ultimate focus might be just to get richer. I tell you they were real idiots but they act as if they had commendable degrees. So if by any chance you are near this store and planning to get in, better think twice. It's gonna be a disaster. Not unless you have a commoner mind and ignorant about the essence of good customer service.

The Gym in this building is small but very good. Quiiet. The trainer is excellent.

Internet: go for P10 an hour .. dont pay 30-50 as per above its too much. Your better off paying the 900 peso for a smart bro card (dont get a globe tattoo card) as the smart bro works in province and is more reliable internet over globe any day (the only reliable thing about globe is the mobile phone service). If you go on a promo with the internet then 200p load will get you 5 days unlimited internet use to your pc for mobile internet.

If your hard pressed for cash, plenty of cheap Internet cafes away from JY. Try Ramos Street 10p an hour, Echavez Street (Zombies 10p hr) etc etc plenty around ..

From JY you can catch a hable hable to the lookout (mountain top) to overlook the city. Watch the touts they can ask a high price for the hable but beat them down to something like 50 each going up the mountain. 100 for 2 on one bike. Half way up theres a nice italian restaurant which has a great view from its lower restaurant area.

A word of warning. Habal Habal can be dangerous.

This smallish, relatively modern mall is at the crossroads that lead to Cebu's landmark Marco Polo Hotel.

It has about five restaurants and a reasonable collection of other shops, including the best and most modern Internet cafe which at P30 compares to P50 an hour for Netopia's crowded outlet at Ayala Center.
