“Great stay! Affordable, good location, clean room!”
Reviewed 29 May 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. It has a great location as it is just a walking distance from the famous Larsian, malls, hospital and crown regency. It is also easy to get a taxi from here. The taxi rate ranges from 70-80php going to Ayala, SM or fort san pedro.

The room we stayed in is spacious enough clean. It also smells nice. I found the bed comfortable so i had a really good sleep in this hotel. The cr is not that big but it is also clean. There was also a good wifi connection in our room.

The service was good. When we were booking this room, they replied as soon as they can to our inquiries. The staffs are also very accomodating but not that warm or friendly to the guests. Maybe they should smile more?

All in all, I had a great stay in this place. It's very affordable for such a nice hotel. I would stay here again if ever i go back in cebu city.

I like the hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again should we visit Cebu in the future. Why?

Great location:
-It's a block behind the Chong Hua Hospital
-A block from Robinson's Cybergate
-Around 2 1/2 block from Larsian (famous barbecue place)
-Around 4 blocks from Watsons
-Around 4 blocks from Shamrock (delicacy pasalubong shop: otap, rosquillos, turones, cashew tarts, butterscotch, etc.)
-Around 4 1/2 blocks from the lane of fast food shops (McDonalds, KFC, a burger shop)
-Around 5 blocks from Robinsons Fuente (more fastfood/resto/shops)
-Around 5 1/2 blocks from Crown Regency (where the Sky Experience Adventure is)

An affordable price:
-We paid P1300 for a night for a triple room. The hot and cold shower works perfectly, TV got cable channels, and there's an electric coffee pot you can use whenever. The aircon wasn't working well when we came, but they immediately replaced it when we asked about it.

Pretty nice staff:
-They're not the warmest people, but they will always accommodate you when you ask them things (like how to go to a certain place or hail a cab).

Stable internet:
-When you're a freelancer, you always need stable internet connection. Adelfa offers that; on the 5th floor where we stayed, there are 2 routers, one plastered just beside our door, so we had no problem surfing the net and doing whatnots. Only encountered slow connection at the wee hours of the morning.

Just some things to note:
-From the airport, it takes 45 minutes, give or take, to reach the hotel on a taxi.
-P1000 security deposit is required upon check in. It will be returned in full once you check out, unless you extended your stay or was penalized.
-You can't bring dried fish, oils, and liniments to your room.
-Room cleaning is available upon request (either call the front desk or hang the "Please Make Up Room" tag on your door knob when you leave). Cleaning is only done between 10AM and 5PM.
-Extended hours are charged: P300 for 1-3 hours, P600 for 4-6 hours. After 6PM, you'll be charged a full day's rate.
-Yes, they do charge if you dirty the towels. My sister smeared makeup on one, and we were notified that we might be charged for it. Although, when we checked out, the only thing taken from our deposit was the cost of our extension (we checked out at 5:30-ish).

That's about it. I think Adelfa is great, thanks to its pretty affordable price and central location.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that has a window with an actual view. Otherwise, you'll be given one with a wind...

The hotel is located just behind Osmena Circle right in the middle of Cebu.

It was well decorated and everything worked well. The room was a sensible size and we got three people in the triple quite comfortably for a weekend. For a hotel like this the price was about correct at php 1400 a night. Our air con was a bit noisy but overall the room was away from the street noise.

There was no breakfast, they have a small coffee shop which basically serves Filipino dishes of rice plus a topping. We didn't try it out though.

Staff were helpful, the security guards on the door flagged down a few taxis for us and assisted with the haggling over the price! Reception were also helpful. Just a note, they did ask for a php 1000 cash deposit as a security for 'incidental costs'. This was a first for me in the philippines. there was no a problem getting it back after the room was checked, you just need to have some money on hand!

So overall very reasonable and a sensible choice for Central cebu.

My friends and I stayed at Adelfa Hotel for SInulog 2014 (Jan 17-20, 2014). If the adage of "location, location, location!" is true, then this hotel's got it in spades. Adelfa is within easy walking distance of Fuente Osmena circle, Robinsons Cybergate Cebu, Robinsons Fuente, a Watsons, a grocery store, Chong Hua hospital, Larsian BBQ, and many other places. Proximity is a must during Sinulog, where the streets are so clogged with people that cars can't pass through.

Service is also pretty great; the staff are quite accommodating. They make up your room upon request and even give you free bottled water (1x a day), a free Sinulog shirt, and pasalubong (dried mangoes and otap). This is probably exclusive to Sinulog weekend though.

The hotel is new--it opened around 2012--so it's still well-maintained. The rooms and bathrooms are a bit on the Spartan side, but decent nonetheless. At least there's none of that "shared shower and toilet space".

All in all, I was very satisfied with my stay at Adelfa and will definitely be back for more next year.

Affordable and comfortable. It's clean and they give soap and shampoo. That's about it. They don't offer much but its okay. I'd recommend this place. Good location. Has cable TV. Good enough. The staff were polite. No view. no breakfast but again it was ok.

Stayed in this hotel with friends. Good location , near stores, shops and Fuente Circle. Very accomodating staff. Special mention to Angie of Housekeeping and to the front desk personnel( forgot their names). They accomodated all our requests and helped us find a beach resort with such a short notice.. High tech elevator that works with a touch. You made our stay in Cebu memorable

We tried this hotel from June 8-11, 2013. It's value for money and its convenient as it is located uptown area. My kids are amazed with their touch screen elevator which budget hotels usually won't have it. The staff are nice and friendly, very accommodating and helpful. The room is well- lit and bedd agree comfortable.
