I did not have any substantial problems with this hotel but I can't quite bring myself to rate it "very good". It was expensive (as most hotels on Sentosa Island) and I think I could have found a better hotel for this price.

The hotel was richly decorated, with the Hard Rock theme. But, in some places, I did not quite like the style. The room was very nice and luxurious, the lobby and other common areas could have been more tasteful.

The location is on the far side of a large hotel complex (Resorts World Sentosa). Walking to the rest of Sentosa is possible but it's a relatively long walk. Other Resords World hotels would be closer to Sentosa attractions.

The hotel staff was helpful and generally good. I had some difficulties connecting my laptop to Internet and they could have been more knowledgable in solving my problem. But I did not have any other problems with them.

As with many more expensive hotels, there was Wireless High Speed Internet and it was working well but it was not included in the room rate.

Stayed there for two nights with my wife and 11 month old son. The place is pretty busy but very clean, spacious and well thought through. If you want to experience Sentosa Island and Universal Studio in style this is the place to be. Great rooms, beatiful pool and plenty of dining options around. Vivo City is pretty close so you can always go shopping if you get board. The staff are really friendly and you feel welcomed all the time. The only improvement necessary is free wi-fi internet in the room as other much cheaper hotels already have that in Singapore

We like the fact that we were given the chance to have a nice view, and a suite to enjoy. The service was very prompt whenever we call the reception, housekeeping etc. The staff were very helpful when we had to move in the middle of the stay.

We booked the 2 night package with Universal Studios and Voyage de la Vie tickets via the Resorts World Call Centre staying in a king-room for the Easter weekend.

Here are my gripes:

1. The standard check in time was 3pm. We arrived about 4:45pm and was informed that our room was not ready. All we got were apologies, without any form of compensation at all. After we said this was not acceptable, we were only offered a queen room for the time being, and then "possibly" move to a king room when available. This wasn't even guaranteed! After another 15 or so mins, they managed to find a room. The delay at check in caused us to miss part of the Vogage de la Vie show. Other hotel staff that we encountered were ok.

2. The room was not spacious at all and the upkeep was generally poor. A couple of the light fittings in the bathroom were starting to come out. There's even mould just under the bathroom mirror. The room had no bathtub.

3. The shampoo and bath gel were in large, ugly refillable bottles. In a 5 star hotel?

4. The hotel is generally quite noisy, with many people hanging around the lobby. It is still better than the Festive Hotel though as people from Hard Rock has to walk past the Festive to get to the casino. Soundproofing was also quite poor in the corridors.

5. Choices in the in-room dining menu were very limited.

6. Maintenance staff were using power tools to fix the kids' water slide while we were swimming in the pool.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel during x'mas holiday 2010. This hotel is very trendy with a lots of teenagers and good decoration. We checked in at the middle of the night and found out that our room was not properly cleaned so we called the staff to change the room. We had free breakfast include in our room paid but due to very long queue at the cafe , we had to have breakfast outside the hotel.
only location is the best thing for this hotel. I will not recommend you to stay if you travel with your family.
