A standard run-off-the-mill 3 star that puts itself in the middle of a posh vacation area and claims to be 5 star. You've seen it all before. Small, poorly appointed rooms. Dirty. Could not find the "Do not disturb" sign anywhere. (And BTW, very minor point, but this is a supposedly a 5 star hotel built in 2010, shouldn't there be a BUTTON?).
Rip-offs everywhere you turn. A very slow WiFi is SGD31 per day per device. Yes, you read it correctly, PER DEVICE. Every time you want to connect you need to contact the front desk and they will give you a 24 hour single device access code. To add insult to injury they will tell you that "this is how the service provider charges" them. Uh-huh. 30 bucks per device and you make no money off this whatsoever. Sure, I believe you.
I guess if you plan to spend your entire days at the aquarium, Universal Studios and such, and all you need is a tolerable bed to collapse into, this will do, no need to pay even more for a real 5 star.More
