We arrived wanting to book the 2 1/2 hour island explorer trip and were told that it had to be booked two days in advance. I explained that the website didn't mention this. I was told that the website couldn't book the trip, another site did. The girl was a little hard to understand so I don't know exactly where the trip should have been booked. All I knew was that we couldn't do it. We did book the 60 minute tour of the three beaches. We came back at our assigned time and were ready to go. They seemed very unorganized and it took a while to get us up and running. Another gentleman was booked at the same time but for a 30 minute excursion. No fewer than ten times, they got our information mixed up with his, and we all had to keep correcting them. In the end, it got sorted out and we had our trip. The segways seem to be in good working order. They gave us a crash course on how it worked, made us do some sample maneuvers, and off we went. We had to follow a tour guide, who unfortunately set the speed. I was wanting to go a little faster, but it wouldn't have been safe. We toured the first two beaches and stopped for pictures at Silosa Beach. We got to the other end and stopped again for pictures. We had some extra time, so the tour guide let us play around with them on a cul-de-sac where there was no traffic. They go pretty fast and can be so much fun. They made us wear elbow and knee pads and a helmet. Afterwards, we were pretty glad we didn't book the 2 1/2 hour trip. We didn't think this would be possible, but our feet and calves were killing us after 1 hour. The rider has to stand very still over a certain spot to engage the sensors. Our feet started hurting from standing in one spot for so long. After a while, I started flexing my feet and stretching my calves and that helped a lot. Keep that in mind when booking a trip.
