This hotel offers a resort experience on the little Sentosa island at the bottom of Singapore. As it is away from the delights of Orchard Road, it is also good for business events where you don't want to lose your delegates.
The bedrooms are very comfortable, with a great bed, and well equipped bathroom, with separate bath and shower (I had a sea view room). The desk was a bit small but the power points were above the desk and not used by TV etc, so very handy. Plenty to like and little to fault. I enjoyed looking out at the cast collection of ships bunkering on the Straits, which is quite an unusual sight.
The restaurants on level 3 were advertised as several different options, but in practice all merged into one giant buffet at breakfast and lunch, and seemed rather quiet in the evening. The food was good, with the usual mix,of Asian cuisines and international dishes.
The one exception to this was the pool bar, which had only a very short list of chicken nuggets, chips and Caesar salad menu options. No satays! No chicken or prawn additions to the Caesar salad, no fish options, no Indian or dim sum or wraps. So disappointing at a high end hotel to be offered such cheap, McDonald style options.More
