We had a fantastic holiday at the Rasa Sentosa. We all loved the pool area, lots of loungers. My 11 year old niece had a great time in the pool with the ‘fun team’ Lunch at the Siloso pool bar was delicious. The hotel buffet for breakfast and dinner was amazing, massive choice of lovely food. Our room was clean, comfortable and cool. We had everything that we needed and the staff couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful.

Went for a staycation with my one year old and I’m impressed with how kids friendly this resort is. The swimming pool catered for kids of all ages and there are several pools to avoid overcrowding. There’s also a nice kids room, as well as 2 playgrounds to keep the kids entertained.
Breakfast was a good spread, huge variety with special attention paid to kids as well. Peacocks walking around added a fun element to breakfast.
Room was a bit dated and sadly no bath tub available. The bed was nice and comfy and we all had a good night sleep. The baby cot provided was also very comfortable and my baby slept very well in it.
Check-in service could be better as we were just given the room card with no further explanation on the floor or location or even where the lift was. Nobody offered to help us with luggage as well. The first impression of this hotel wasn’t great but thankfully, the facilities saved the day.

Disappointing stay. We chose this hotel for our beach break as we have stayed in a Shangri-La before and it was amazing. This branch however was not.
The quality of the hotel is not close to 5* and would be closer to a 3 and at a stretch a 4* hotel.
The cleanliness of rooms wasn’t great, had to walk around with slippers on so as not to get dirt in the bed.
The staff really didn’t care - on every day of our stay we had housekeeping or someone else disturb us whilst the do not disturb sign was on.
When I complained about this nothing was done other than saying they’d speak to the team.
The facilities are ok but not big enough for the number of people. If you’re a couple without children think again about staying here as this hotel caters to children and not adults - putting on activities throughout the day in the pool, and the adult only pool isn’t adult only at all but a small section of the already busy noisy pull designated as a quiet zone but no sound buffer at all.
Finally the breakfast is no where near 5* quality and is a buffet similar to that on a cruise ship - extremely busy where you’ll have to queue just to get a seat and quality of food and selection isn’t fantastic. Wouldn’t recommend this unless you’re going with children - but would still question if it’s value for money.

This is our 5th visit to the Shangri-La Sentosa. This hotel should be on everyone’s bucket list of places to visit, exploring the world. Why do we keep coming back? The hotel is in a great location on Sentosa Island, no need for a combustion engine, just use the muscles that you were blessed with. There is so much to do here, you can pretty much lounge at there pristine pool in the morning and then have an adventure in the afternoon.
The other reason for repeatedly coming back, is for the personable, friendly staff. These guys here make you feel like a celebrity and want for nothing!
All the restaurants here are kid friendly and the choices of different cuisines is very appetite satisfying. Definitely a job well done to Nick Flynn and Sarah He, your team are unquestionably ahead of the service game, and we always benchmark your service against other hotels.
My kids are completely obsessed with the fun team, who through the day keep them occupied and tires them out for a good nights sleep! We are a happy, thankful mum and dad. Thanks to Faith, Handsome Roy and Leo.
Just to end. Two of the fun team giving out the towels said, ” we are always happy to see people smiling and having a good time here!”, my reply was, ” that only happen because of a great team and people!”

The staff were very caring, amazing facilities for the kids, great pool, good location. However, the rooms are a bit dated and not what you normally expect from a Shangri-La in a business location. With a family tho, this is a great hotel as the kids have some much to do and are well taken care of.
