its the cheapest hotel on sentosa for a reason...if eco is an excuse for scruffy then they have succeeded... it needs a change of management...and a damm good clean. the pool area to be fair is the best feature...the tiny dated rooms the worst...or is it the cafe on the street level, if i cant find anything positive to say .. maybe i'd best not say anything more...would I stay here again...no ...definetley not

Room Tip: another hotel

Siloso beach resort use to be one of the attractive resort/hotel in Sentosa which I stayed in their roof top suite 5 years ago (the reason i stayed here this time round) but with RWS and new hotels springing up around the island. It has obviously impact them greatly but the sadly instead of trying to differentiate themselves or renovate/reinvent themselves, they decided basically to downgrade themselves to chalet standard and continue charging their guest at their heyday prices.

From check in, upon entering the reception, the staff look/stare at me, nothing came out of her mouth, I had to initiate the conversation that I was there to check in. So much for welcome. Through out the 3 day 2 night the staff there were just dis-interested and unhappy.

Then it was the room, it was a deluxe room this time instead of the highly priced roof suite but the deluxe room 510 was old, run down and basically in need of some sort refurbishment.

Me and my gf were in shock considering we paid 200 + a night. The floor was sandy, dusty, the wooden floor was full of scratches, the tv was a small old school tv like 20 inches because u could barely see much from tv if u lying on the bed, there was also inadequate lighting in the room making it dark and gloomy. And to sum up with their theme of nature there was ants or termites running around. Great!

Then there is also much raved about pool, yes it is nice, but did u know they don't offer pool towel after 6.30pm when the pool closes at 8pm. I personally think this is just some cost saving measures on their end, so we basically do not have towel for a evening swim, was told by the reception to use our in room towel and have them replace thereafter, so after we did that, when we called the reception on 3 separate occasion and once to housekeeping, it took them 45 min to deliver 2 towels and when I ask for explanation, they said actually housekeeping closes at 6.30 as well and the only guy working is just 1 bellboy who was busy (according to them) at the time of our request. This was the most ridiculous, I did not know the place shut down after 6.30pm, another obvious cost cutting measures. But yet they are charging 200+ a night. I can understand the idea of u pay peanuts u get monkey but not at this price and when the fact that there are newer hotels around the island charging equivalent prices

This is no longer a properly managed resort where their only concern is getting more bucks before it either rebuilds the whole place or ceases business or change their name to siloso beach chalet which would help eliminate the expectation.

All in all I would strongly advise looking else where unless u feel having stay the resort before it goes into history is a big draw in itself.

This was my favourite hotel on a recent trip to Asia. Why? The brilliant swimming pool with waterfall, and the other reasons are possibly why other guests dont like it so much. Guests fit into the environment here, with trees and plants growing up close to the windows and making the rooms feel like you are in a jungle hut rather that a faceless hotel room.. It leaves the natural environment to provide the thrills and feels a million miles away from the concrete jungle of downtown.

Siloso Beach Resort is situated amongst lush greens. When I stepped into the hotel premises it was evident that it was an eco-resort as it looked the part. Built amongst nature, it's a wonderful place to be. My husband and I had a very relaxing Valentine's Day weekend stay.

Our room faced the lagoon and was big and comfortable. The pool was huge and the waterfall was beautiful (although man-made). All in all, wonderful place :)

Room Tip: Stay in the rooftop suite if you are honeymooning as it's gorgeous. That's on our list too :)

Got a good deal on expedia around 500 sgd for 2 night incl all . Perfect Green place to stay just in front of siloso beach & inside sentosa and good for those who want to enjoy at sentosa for 1 day and universal studio for 2nd day so no need to go to city hotels , all internal sentosa transportation is free. aiport to resort costs around 26 SGD . Rooms r okay with beach view . breakfast was okay with 2-3 veg items and of course fruits, bread, butter , jam, etc.. Unique thing is waterfall and roof top garden at resort. Swimming pool is very good.
Recommended for family travelling to singapore for 4 days so 2 days can stay here to have out of city experience. look for special deals on expedia or asiatravel.com. Worth to stay here by paying 20% more than city hotels if u want to visit sentosa and universal studio.
