What a lovely room. exceptionally well equipped for self catering, the room even included a Nespresso machine - although you may want to take some extra capsules as they only provide 2 per day! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was crowded at times with insufficient tables to handle the crowd of business travellers.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but I am glad the company is paying - the price would be to much for my personal pocket...

This is an excellent location for the central business district (CBD) and the Marina Bay area. The rooms have everything you need for your stay including a small kitchen area with dishwasher, fridge and washer/dryer, a large bathroom and very comfortable bedroom/living space. Wifi is free - why don't more hotels offer this?

The views aren't great from the rooms but go up to the 19th floor where there is an infinity pool, gym, lounge and outdoor sitting area, or the rooftop garden (above the 21st floor) where the views are better and the surroundings surprisingly quiet.

The staff are good although a little aloof at times. They did however fix a problem with our hot water within minutes of me reporting it - so are very efficient.

The downside is the breakfasts which are not up to international standards. My suggestion - buy some fresh fruit and cereals from the nearby four season gourmet supermarket in the Link Mall and eat in your room - better value and much more tasty!

Room Tip: Don't eat breakfast - buy your own!

The apartments are very nice, clean and offer kitchen, open shower and bathtub as well as a big bedroom with couch and TV. It has also a fridge and a laundry machine with integrated dry function.

The hotel also provides a incredible roof top pool and two Jacuzzis...

However, the breakfast wasn't very special. The buffet is rather small and the service is not very high. But you can order e.g. scrambled eggs.

One of those places with ups and downs:

Pros:
- Fantastic room. Clean, classy, well decorated, large. Enjoyable. Terrific bathroom.
- Great location, perfect for business.
- Amazing Gym/Pool/Terrace.

Cons:
- Breakfast is 100% underwhelming.
- I was very annoyed that both on the way in and out, I specifically and explicitly asked the staff to let me carry my bags (which I always do, personal choice) and they would not listen... and just take them...
- Service isn't their thing... example: It may sound silly, but having forgotten my suit formal belt... they were not able to help... either with a spare one (you would think it's something that happens often) or a shop to buy it...

All and all, one of those places I would go back if I find a really good rate, but don't actually look forward to.

Hope this helps. Sergio.

We picked this hotel on the basis of review and location for our visit to Singapore to attend the F1 grand prix. The hotel is in an excellent location for this being just a 5 minute walk from gate 6 and about a 20 minute walk from gate 10. It is also about a 15 minute walk from Chinatown. The hotel is located in the business district which means it is very quiet at the weekends, the down side being everything nearby is closed at the weekends as well. Saying that you are only a 5 minute walk underground to the MRT station or 10 minutes from the Marina Bay mall and centre so it is not really a problem. Staff at the hotel are very friendly and helpful, always greeting you with a smile. Their knowledge of the local area is not that great, twice we were sent much further away than was needed to find what we needed. The hotel is very well maintained to a high standard with huge beds, lovely walk in bathrooms with rain showers and bath. Breakfast was very nice and convenient and fairly well priced for a hotel and what was on offer which included a cooked breakfast (eggs or pancakes) and also fruit, muesli, baked goods and other buffet breakfast items all for $20 per head. There are a few restaurants and nearby at the waterfront which look out over Marina Bay to the Marina Bay Sands, a nice place for dinner or a drink. The hotel has an inifinity pool on the roof which was good fun and a real experience to be able to swim to the edge and look out over the city, there is also a jacuzzi and loungers on the top roof (which does not seem to get mentioned anywhere). There is also a small gym and relaxation area. One note of caution we stayed in the smaller studio room which was located right next to the lift shaft. although it did not really bother us you could hear the lift weights going up and down (although they did a good job of soundproofing the room) which may bother some people, the room also does not have a view at all with only small side windows which look out at the neighbouring building. Overall this was a great hotel, I would recommend it for business or couples looking for a quiet and comfortable hotel to attend the grand prix or to just explore everything Singapore has to offer.

Room Tip: Corner studio rooms are right next to the lift shaft so avoid if possible

We selected this hotel for our long weekend in Singapore via the formula1.com website - that is why we were I n Singapore for five days in September 2013.

The link went through to a company called WWE, a part of Expedia. We booked a flights and hotel package.

Take the Singapore metro from Changi airport, and with one easy change at Tannah Mera, alight at Raffles Place station. Fare very cheap - 2.20 Singapore dollars (that's £1.10 British pounds). Follow the signs to exit 'I', and turn left as you exit the station. Less then 50 metres, and you're there. As you climb the front steps, the doors open automatically. Reception was quiet, and we were checked in to room 310.

There are ten rooms on each floor, x01 to x10. The biggest rooms are the corner ones x06, followed by x10. These latter have a reasonable view too (compared to the others).

Rooms are very nice, modern, comfortable, with mini kitchens including dishwasher, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave. The bathroom is slightly quirky, with glass panels where you might expect walls. A blind next to the combined shower/bathroom can be closed for those more modest about their bathroom antics. But don't let this put you off - quirky is the word.

Staff were very helpful throughout, with suggestions of what to do, where to go and where to eat.

The hotel is an easy walk to Marina Bay area (do go to the Marina Bay Sands hotel, and take the elevator in the left hand tower as you look at it from this side, to the Ku De Te bar on the 57th floor. It's free, and the views wonderful). It's is also an easy walk to/from the GP track. If we go to the GP again, we'd definitely stay here again.

As I have said, the metro (underground train) could not be closer, and the fares very modest. So strongly recommend using this to get around e.g. Orchard for shopping.

In summary, a great hotel in the perfect position. If my review has informed you, PLEASE give me a 'Helpful'.

Room Tip: Anything ending x06 or x10 is perfect.
