The Ascott is very conveniently located across One Rafflex Quai, my Singapore office location. This fact makes me stay there whenever I go to Singapore since queing for a taxi at any of the more upmarket hotels can be painful, particularely on a rainy morning.
Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, bathrooms are spacious and newly refurbished. I never checked out the Swimming Pool but they'd actually have one. Breakfast buffet is sub standard, so I usually skip it.
