I wouldnt have come to this restaurant if I was super hungry, and the fact that I love trying out new establishments.
Now I thought I've been to the right place, because the head chef was Japanese and there were a couple of Japanese expats dining there. It seemed oddly quiet on a Saturday evening.
Service was great. The head chef takes your order personally. Seriously, there was nothing wrong with the people running it, but the food is overpriced and not to my liking.
I ordered pork and spring onion skewers, beef tongue skewers and cow liver's skewers. For the price they are serving I wished that the food would be at least super fresh, but the pork turned out okay, and the beef liver was overcooked.
And there were ants on the table. This was unacceptable.
Not to put down new establishments, perhaps they are still finding their way. They should take a leaf from the books of the numerous more established yakitori restaurants in Orchard Road.
