My wife and I stayed here for a couple of days while exploring the city. We had a private room on the third floor which, while rather small, worked pretty well. Given that this is Singapore and small rooms seem to be the standard so I really can't complain. The breakfast was pretty simple, toast, cereal, and some milk, but they made up for that simplicity by providing copious amounts of nutella. The location for this hostel is great, right next to Little India and a number of MRT stops are within easy walking distance. The bathrooms on our floor were well maintained, clean and had plenty of hot water. They don't provide towels, but you can rent one for $1.50 SGD at the front desk.
Unlike other hostel's we had stayed in, this one didn't seem particularly social; however we didn't spend much time in the restaurant area save for breakfast. There's a media room downstairs but there never seemed to be more than one person in there at a time.
My only slight complaint is that we'd asked the front desk if they could arrange a cab for us for our early flight (we needed to leave at 3am) and that message wasn't passed on to the person working the desk at that time. Fortunately there were plenty of cabs going by on the adjoining streetMore
