The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to Orchard streed - the shopping street, and also very close to metro & bus station.
The staff was very helpful and very nice. The room and the bathroom was big and clean.
The only thing that could be a small minus is that the room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air, but the AC was pretty ok.

Many of our guests have commented on our convenient proximity to nearby shopping malls and train and bus stations and we are happy that it served you well too.

We do apologise about the windows in the rooms. But we have a nice poolside and terrace area on the ground floor, which is very pleasant to sit at.

The Quincy is a distinctive 4-star hotel in Singapore in that it offers full board and lodging. Given the price, it is pretty good value for money. All three princiapl meals are provided, ie, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with early evening cocktails and afternoon tea and cakes. Laying your hands on the cake is however a game of timing. If you get there early enough, say at 3 pm, there is a good chance of your biting into a slice of cheesecake. But you you turn up at 5, the cake platter would have disappeared, as the cake is on a first-come-first served basis. It happened to me during my 5 day stay there in late 2013.

Full board is well and good, except that it is almost criminal to take all of one's meals in the hotel ( the fare is simple and generally healthy, both in choice and quantity; nothing is exceptional or in copious quantity, which was fine for me ), when Singapore is such a renowned food paradise. So it truly puzzled me why such an arrangement is imposed on those who book a room. The consequence is, therefore, as was my case, that hotel guests would skip meals in order to sample the cuisine outside the hotel. My suggestion to the hotel is simple : please do not be selfish in your revenue calculations, offer guests a choice of accepting ot rejecting the board option ( ie, make it optional, without penalty! ).
I first stayed at the hotel more than 4 years ago, when full board was optional. On this return trip, the room was just as spick and span, and the service as friendly. Bravo for maintaining standards!

Very pleasant hotel that really makes an effort to cater to its guests. The airport pick-up that was included in our rate was great – the driver was waiting in the expected spot on our arrival. I think he said the car was a Merc S-Clas but I’m not sure, I just know it was very comfortable! I don’t normally get an airport pick-up, but it was a lovely way to start my holiday, especially after a long flight.

The food that was on offer from 6 to 8pm was really good. There is a terrace area outside that is pleasant to sit at if you can manage to grab a spot. The staff were very nice. The hotel is situated 2 mins walk from Orchard Road. The nearest mall is the Paragon (2 mins walk away), which I thought was one of the nicest malls on Orchard Road. There is a 7-eleven a couple of mins walk from the hotel. Nice touches in the room include lovely Molton Brown toiletries, an ipad docking station and plug adaptors. The room was quiet. My only issue was that there are very few loungers at the rooftop pool, and I never managed to find a free one, despite visiting several times. However, given the space is limited, its an understandable issue.

I would stay here again if I returned to Singapore.

Was at Quincy to celebrate Valentines Day with my boyfriend. It was a wonderful stay; great rooms, excellent staff and good food and drinks.
Loved the 12th floor; pool, gym, coffee machine and MUSIC!!
What more could you ask for???

i have booked a valentine package. i paid $433. what draw us to book this hotel:
We have seen the gd review about this hotel and decided to book it for our wkend get away. The hotel offers all day refreshment, set dinner, free wine and molton brown shower set

i check in on 15 Feb. The counter staff are friendly. The room is clean and comfortable. The so called all day refreshment from 2pm to 6pm are drinks, muffin and very hard tarts. i asked the staff what are the available refreshments in the afternoon, he said whatever you can see or you can order MacDonald. why would the staff advice customers to order fast food when one of the pull factor of this hotel is the all day refreshment??

The refreshment and dinner starts from 6pm. We reach around 7 plus, we request for menu as our package inclusive of set dinner. The staff told me it's free flow from the buffet counter. When i told him that was included in our package, he ask his colleagues and then bring the menu to us. We waited for more than 40 min for our dinner to be served as the staff told us that our order was mixed up. They have served 2 couple's dinner when they order after us. No apology made. I have order mocktail and thru out the dinner , it was not served. I give up, their service terribly sucks!! The evening refreshment hot food consist of pasta, fried triangle curry potato, oyster with cream sauce and fried bread with prawn. The set dinner which we order was beef and fish with fries. set dinner, ok.

I am very dissatisfied with the dinning crew. first, they do not seems to know what packages was available. In fact, two staffs who we spoken to do not seems to know that there was set dinner available on that day. There are another couple sitting beside us, also facing the same problem. Second, they did not apologized for their mistake.

The quality of food, so so. breakfast not much choices.

what i like about this hotel:

The white wine is nice.
Room service staff are nice and fast to being whatever i have request to me.
Molton brown shower set

In my own opinion, if you are looking to have a weekend get away, you can book a room with club facilities such as furama hotel. The money will be well spend with no regret and it is cheaper. At least the food and service would be much better than Quincy. This shall be my first and last time staying with The Quincy Hotel.

Not worth the money spend.

I went to Singapore on February 14-16, 2014 for a short weekend gateway with my cousins. Usually I would stay in Grand Hyatt or Marriott but this time I wanted to try to stay at Quincy Hotel. I chose to stay here because of the good reputation of Far East Hospitality. The first impression was already a bit disappointing. First the location is not as close as advertised. It's a 15 minutes walk to Sommerset MRT station and a bit longer to Orchard MRT station. The process of checking in took a little while. Got into the room and was satisfied with the cleanliness and the size of the room. But the bathroom is a different story. They don't put shower curtain or sliding glass door commonly used for shower type of bathroom. I had to think of a way to take a shower without flooding the whole bathroom. No wardrobe either. And I started to wonder who came up with those ideas because both wardrobe and shower curtain are used by worldwide hotels. Staffs were great and helpful. If a walking distance is not a major factor for you then you are welcome to try this hotel. Stay for the minimum of 2 nights you are entitled to free breakfast, lunch and dinner and also beers and wines. Complimentary mini bar and free laundry for 2 pieces each day.

We note with concern your disappointment with your stay experience at Quincy.

We take pride in our generous sized bathrooms, where our guests can have the option of taking a shower in the separate shower enclosure or turn to the tub for a soothing soak. Coupled with our Molton Brown toiletries, we want our guests to always enjoy an enhanced bath experience. We regret that you did not experience this.

We have also taken note of your comments regarding the open concept wardrobe. It has a contemporary and modern approach to its design, but it serves the same purpose.

I am, nonetheless glad to hear that the service levels of our staff have met your expectations.

We take your feedback seriously and would like to assure you that we do take action in continually working to improve the conditions of our room to ensure the comfort of our guests

Had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Nice and clean facilities and a good location. Rooms are equipped with everything you will need from the gadget lovers to the hopelessly romantics. Full featured packages and great service from the staff. Keep it up!
