Had booked the private double room and was given the topmost floor as we wanted to escape the noise from the pub downstairs at night but to no avail; the noise still managed to travel up but at least we still got some sleep. We were in room 9 when a huge bed bug appeared on the bed and we immediately informed the staff downstairs and was thankfully given another room - 11. Sadly I still got bitten but did not see any bedbugs so I could not inform the staff much.
The shower stalls (2 per floor) are relatively clean but small, unused most of the time. Microwaves, a toaster, knife, induction cooker, pots and fridges are provided (most are on the second floor). Both levels have a water cooler which also supplies hot water. Both levels also supplies free internet from a desktop. The free laundry and dryer service on the secind level is good, clothes came out hot and clean.
Room sadly is small, walls painted pink, slightly claustrophobic with dim yellow lighting making it look smaller. Windows are in rooms but no way to open them;they are boarded with an acrylic board. Very squeezy room with an old cabinet and small table where ants roam about crazily. They get on the bed, bags and you too. Not very nice whilst sleeping. Walls and floors are thin; you could hear many people walking and shutting doors and talking.
No breakfast provided but just a street's walk away from Chinatown point, and about three streets' walk to a good hawker center with good food.
