Description: Kashmir is a welcome addition to the fine galaxy of Indian restaurants along the Race Course road. The restaurant which serves a mouthwatering array of authentic Kashmiri and North Indian cuisine saw its Grand opening on 15th August 2007 and already it has successfully turned many diners into addicts who have returned to enjoy the dazzling menu and service. The restaurant is discreetly decorated with Kashmiri artefacts to create a soothing ambience to compliment the cuisine. Food and service, the indispensable ingredients to make one return to a restaurant are remarkably managed by Rohit and Shweta Razdan, a husband and wife duo, well experienced in the Indian Hotel Industry. Right from the moment you step in you can enjoy the warm hospitality of the Kashmir Valley. When the diners are comfortably seated, they ceremoniously wash the hands at the table in true kashmiri style in an ornate vessel called Tashtri. The menu boasts of a splendid variety of vegetarian and non vegetarian gourmet dishes, the Kashmiri dishes are highlighted with the restaurant's logo, a maple tree leaf that adds to the beauty of the valley by its sheer abundance. The staffs who take the orders willingly assist the diners in choosing the dishes that compliments each other.

“Great find right in the heart of Little India”
Reviewed 7 December 2012 via mobile

We found this place through the trip advisor city app and were pleasantly surprised.

The restaurant is tucked away on the main road but easy to find.

They have an extensive menu of classic dishes but also some more unique offerings.

Some have said that this is more expensive than other restaurants in Little India, I can't say either way but what I would say is that it is very good value given the other restaurants available in Singapore (about half the price of anything in Clarke Quay).

Overall I would recommend this restaurant especially to those who like traditional Eastern cuisine.

“Good north Indian food reasonably priced”
Reviewed 13 November 2012

I went there with my friends on Diwali. The ambiance may not be the best, but the food more than compensates for that. The price is slightly on the upper side though reasonable. We had a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian guys and both of us thoroughly enjoyed the food. The Chicken tikka was awesome as well as most other starters. May not be the best place for couples but for a group of friends or family I would say this place is perfect.
I would recommend ordering kabab items as those were the best. If you are looking for authentic north Indian cuisine look no further...

“Best chicken tikka!”
Reviewed 25 September 2012

Had a laid back lunch at the Race Course Road outlet recently.

Opted for a table outside which I would recommend if you can stand the heat.

The chicken tikka was the best I've ever tasted. In fact all their starters were so good (and filling) we didn't order any mains!

They have a delivery service too which is neat.

Lunch ends at 3.30pm so finish up well before then (as they close the restaurant).

“Kashmir - delightful food”
Reviewed 6 September 2012

From the first time we went there 5 years ago, we've been fans of their food. The kababs are a treat, and the Kashmiri-style Dum Aloo is a personal favourite. Don't hesitate to try both the roti/naan options and the rice dishes. They go very well with most dishes on the menu. The consistency over time is truly heartening.

“Nice Meal”
Reviewed 20 August 2012

Nice, but not spectacular given comparitavely high prices to other nearby restaurants. Service was ok, but not memorable. The hand rinse at start of meal was a nice touch.
