Cool and funky design elements set this hotel apart from the norm in the Singapore business and travellers market. I stayed a week at the Wangz whilst having various meetings around Singapore and found it to be an excellent alternative to the mainstream 4*+ corporate hotel and cheaper too. At first glance the location appears too far away from the city but it is actually very central and the taxis were always available and great value. The longest time we had to wait was 5 minutes and the responsive hotel staff made getting one a stress free process. We had some evening drinks and nibbles on the roof and although expensive, it was a cool experience. Breakfast was better than expected for such a small hotel and had good variety with eggs cooked on demand. But the real reason to go back are the staff. In every interaction, in every situation they were helpful, polite and went over and above the service you would get in a larger hotel. Overall, I thought the price was good value when considering the special feel of the room and the fantastic service.

We chose this hotel based on the reviews here on TripAdvisor. We weren't disappointed! From the moment we got off the taxi, we were acknowledged right away. It's a boutique hotel with only 41 rooms which is good coz it's not crowded especially during the included buffet breakfast. It has an amazing outside structure & funky lobby with outstanding staffs. It's really a plus for me to have such a good, friendly and helpful staffs. They will really make you feel comfortable and at home. (Special mention to Cris, Norma & Carlos) Hospitality's the best! Though its not in the heart of the city, we didn't have problem going to tourist destinations. There's a nearby MRT station and bus stations. We always took the bus.

We stayed here for 7 nights at the superior room. It was just perfect for the 2 of us. The interior design's pretty cool. I loved the music in the room. They have a comfy bed & pillows. Cute glass-doored bathroom with rainfall showerhead & Molton Brown toiletries too. Thumbs up to housekeeping. They did a good job whenever they clean our room. We also liked the free mini bar. Another plus was the free Wi-Fi which unlike other hotels that you need to pay for the internet.

There's also a rooftop bar where you can relax and have a sip or two of your fave drink after a long day. Or dine at the Nectar at the lobby.

We loved this hotel even more when they sent a bottle of wine with a card to our room as a surprise gift for our engagement. They found out we just got engaged during our stay here. We really appreciate it. Thanks to Wangz Hotel!

We would definitely come back and would highly recommended this hotel!

A great looking boutique hotel, a little out of the way but accessible via the nearby MRT and taxis, the Wangz has a fabulous shower and super-comfortable beds. Jet-lagged and enroute (home) to Australia after 2 months in Italy, we probably had higher expectations for the price (it's certainly not cheap)...and it was unusual and unfortunate not to have a pool. Based on a travel article and TA reviews, we decided to try the Wangz for our customary jetlag 'cure' for three nights. The ambience and decor is really funky...but the wardrobe space was REALLY limited (i.e I had to hang most of our clothing on the coat stand due to next to no coat hangers or space, and there were no drawers at all. Fine if you just have overnight luggage...not so with actual suitcases. The lighting system was 'interesting', and the bathroom, whilst spectacular with one of the best showers and wet rooms ever, had a glass sliding door. Seriously, who wants to hear one's roomie's ablutions?...and I get that this is a 'trend', but let's lose it, please. Actual doors and soundproofing to the bathroom. Please. Every time one of us used the bathroom at night, because of the glass, the whole room lit up. Not so good for sleeping. Despite design vs function issues, the breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly and helpful, and free wifi was a bonus for Singapore...which is in general way behind the rest of the world for free wireless in hotels.

Only stayed one night but the moment we entered the reception area we were treated like old friends, and to a room upgrade. The young lady behind the counter could not have been more helpful. It was the same story when we checked out early the next morning to catch our flight.
The boutique hotel is a little out of town but in easy walking distance to the MTR and Chinatown. The room size was good and the bed very comfortable. Would definitely stay there again.

Wangz is a very new boutique hotel close by Orchard road. Outram park MTR is at walking distance. I stayed with my 2 kids. Small things make a huge difference, when travelling with kids & suffering with jet lag. Wangz staff was very prompt, polite and well informed. they helped us navigate through out our stay. the free shuttle service from the hotel to orchard street & other key locations was a bonus. Since the hotel is new, therefore room cleanliness, furniture & aesthetic decor is pleaseing to the eye. the manager of the place dropped by every morning at breakfast to enusre we are comfortable. Perfect place to stay for self, office work, or with family. kids may get antzy because there is no pool or other recreation activity inside the hotel. We did not mind having the pool at all. the room comes with complimentary bottles of water each day & beverages (non- alcoholic) from the minibar. there is an inidian restuarant at walking distance that kept us vegetarians fed when we arrived late night from our return from nite safari at the zoo. breakfast was filling and substantial to meet our needs. free wireless access at all times including movie rentals. Price wise, one of the best place to stay during our stay in Singapore

ooked a deluxe room as I really like the picture of the room shown on the website. I also made some special requests during booking and I am really glad that the requests were taken into account. I arrived at the room and find that the room looks really nice (as good as the picture) and is very neat and clean. The complimentary bath items (shower foam, shampoo, conditional) are molten brown brand and they smells really good. The bed is very comfortable and I had a good night sleep on it. The breakfast is not bad too. Everything is good however I am unsure of how to use some gadgets in the room (the alarm clock with ipod player) and I guess it might even be spoilt. It will be good if there is some notes or information on how to use it. Also, the music sounds eerie in the middle of the night hence it will be good if the room has a button to turn on/off the pipe in music, or to turn up or down the volume, and that will certainly impress customers.

Dear Lx6,

Thank you for writing this review.

We are glad to have met your expectations during your recent stay at the hotel.

Should you return to our hotel, you may like to know that the volume of the piped-in ambient music can be adjusted (and turned off) via a knob located on the wall to the right of the writing desk. I am also sorry to read that you were not able to enjoy the iPod player so please do not hesitate to contact the Front Desk for any kind of assistance in future.

I invite you to visit us again as you fully appreciate our accommodation experience. Till we meet again.

Hey what a lovely surprise this hotel is. Not perfect, but few are. Wangz is a couple of blocks from Chinatown and has more of a suburban setting than the big brands in town. It only has a limited number of well appointed rooms - and we got an upgrade on our second visit - very nice indeed.

Rooms are modern, good beds, everything is super clean, nice bathrooms (even a bit funky) and the minibar is well stocked. Restaurant has OK food -- expensive, but hey, it is a hotel. Breakfast was fine, but as always in SE Asia, the coffee is dreadful.

I would strongly recommend staying here as distinct from the travel agent/branded places. You can get a good deal on Agoda.

Staff were fine, but the big problem no-one - and that includes taxi-drivers, knows where it is. The room cards have a smeared and unreadable map, and even if that was ok, how would you advise your cabbie from the airport? So - our advise to hotel and you is to photograph a map showing its location to show cabbies. Singapore might be an English speaking country, but explaining locations such as this tests the limits. We had some odd experiences in this department.

And, while you are in Chinatown, check out the YumCha restaurant - very nice.
