We were quite excited to try out this new hotel. I should have seen the warning signs already about poor service though - I called in advance to ask about parking lots etc and the phone was not picked up for a long long time. I even left a note on their FB page! When it finally did, someone who did not really speak english answered before passing it to someone else who does! Anyway we decided to fly into Singapore in the end.
We asked for non-smoking room. But the room we got was smelling of smoke the minute we stepped in. I immediately complained and they told me the room we were in was indeed a non-smoking room and they will get back to me. They never did. My partner and I were only there for a night and we had lots to do before catching the flight the next day so in the end we just left it. The cigarette was there the whole day and night. It was especially strong on the top loft where the bed is. I was not happy.
The bed was surprisingly .. lovely. I actually had a pretty good sleep in it after I tried to douse the cigarette smell with all kinds of perfume (didnt work much but i was exhausted after that so finally fell asleep)
Cleanliness was quite quite bad. There was hair on the walls of the shower room. Ugh.
Overall service was poor. They were slow, distracted although one of them did try his best. The only thing good was taxi was easy to get, it stops right at the hotel lobby so that was convenient.
I like the concept they had, very compact rooms with very small space to maneuver so bigger sized people will have issues in the toilets especially. But the stairs are a bit slippery and if you want to run down to the loo in the middle of the night, you must be very careful not to miss a step. So not for kids, people with knee problems, older people. The pool side is pretty.
I will not come here again. There was quite a number of friends who wanted to try this place out who we advised against. Very dissappointed.
