“Easter in Singapore”
Reviewed 27 May 2012

I am a regular traveller to Singapore as I have family there and also love the food and the culture. I decided to stay in the Singapore River precinct and was not disappointed. The hotel is well appointed and perfectly located close the river and all of the great restaurants in the area. The room is a studio apartment upstairs / downstairs affair and I found it a bit cramped but hey it was only a place to sleep and hang out between trips around town. There is a small restaurant for breakfast and a coffee shop that was pretty good. I included the buffet breakfast in my stay but with hindsight would not have bothered, a bit limited really. The pool area was funky as was the small gym. The staff were very efficient but did seem incredibly busy. The toilet and shower 'rooms' were a quite quaint but ok I guess. My main complaint was how small and inefficient the fridge was. Didn't cool down the champagne at all !! This was partially redeemed by the availability of ice buckets. Overall I would say it was good for the short stay if you know your way about Singapore and i would stay there again. It was a good hotel for the price. Probably would suit people on business, a couple and maybe a small family.

Room Tip: Every room is the same. There are no rooms 'with a view' to speak of, but as everyone leaves...

the downside it was a tidy walk from the nearest underground station the upsides was pretty much everything else
well located on clarke quay check in was smooth but they asked for credit card which ticked me off as my room had been pre paid.
the rooms were quite small but had nice touches such as a seat in the shower smoking rooms nice well maintained gym great pool area helpful proffessional staff, didnt like the swipe system in the lift mind but other than that fully recommended

Room Tip: insist on a smoking room they do have them trust me

Small lobby area. Strange to find a corner room with open curtains with a man in bed seen from the corridor. The bathroom is small. The bed is small and we do not use the upper loft area. the fridge is empty and have to request to fill it. Nice area to walk to the restaurants in the evening.

I stayed there for 6 nights during a business trip. The location is great; there are a lot of good restaurant around. I didn't have time to try the swimming pool but it looks good. The gym is outside which is a little bit weird knowing that it's usually at least 26 degrees Celsius outside.
The coffe served in the coffee bar is really good; perfect to start a long day of work !!!

The design of the room is nice even if I felt weird at the beginning with the design of the toilets and the shower. The restroom is very small and the shower door is plain so you feel like you are in a closet and you wish that the door won't be stuck when trying to get out.

The bed is great, very very comfortable.

The AC could be very cold... just put it on when you are out and switch it off when you are in it will stay cool.

So the bathroom is small, and split up into two parts (shower sep to toilet) and its tiny, but the loft style is cute. Although the upstairs should have housed the bed and the downstairs the study / living area, as due to the design you don't utilise the upstairs

Pool is ok - just lap. Location is ok too, but not close to public transport, which is a pain.

Small lobby but the distinct fragrance is a pleasant welcome. Room of loft concept with split level funky but may not be practical.  Hotel location around the quay area with lots of restaurants and bars.

Room is small although it is split level. Toilet and shower room is separated each on either side of entrance. Small and cramp. The little bench inside the shower room makes it even smaller. Just a little shelf would have been sufficient. I would say the designer overdid it.

A big writing desk beside the hugh full glass window. Staircase leaving up to 'bedroom'. A portion of the bed has a lower ceiling (probably it is the structural beam) which may be a hazard when one awake in the middle of sleep.  Under the stair is the minibar counter which also housed the safe deposit box and hair dryer. The bathrobe is hang on the wall beside the luggage rack.

The room will have appeal to the younger generations. Not recommend for older folks because of having to climb the stairs. Troublesome if you need to go to bathroom in the middle of the night. unless you are sleeping on the outer side of bed, you do not have access to the light switch and also need to get off from the foot of the bed. Also if you are afraid of height do ask for lower floor because the big glass that allow you to look down-as you walk down the stair can give you a little shock.

A lIttle lap pool about 25m by 5m of 1.2m deep allow you for a casual swim. On the 2nd floor next to the pool is a small gymn with modern fitness equipment.

Basic variety of breakfast is just nice before the start of your day.

All in all, not a bad hotel and she will have her appeals to a certain group (i think perfect for honeymooner) who wants to experience not just a normal kind of hotel experience.

The hotel is new, position is good - but this is all.
the rooms are not for a business trip - too small and unusable for two people! Upstairs is only one queen size bed and downstairs is one "chairbed".
The room didn´t have a bath room (only wc - very small - not for a big man and one small "room" only with shower - no space for shower gel, towels,...).
The staff was unprofessional !
Air conditioner in a lobby was more than terrible ! Outside 35 inside 5!.
