Brand new hotel with a great pool & lounge area in a great location on Robertson Quay. The loft concept is interesting. All very compact. Toilet is a bit small and I could not put my feet on the ground, even though I’m 6ft! The seat is too high! Good quality bed. Did not try the restaurant, but there are plenty of restaurants along the river, a very short walk away.

It's a last min family trip with not much choice at all . We know it's a new hotel so we didnt expect much but the quality of service is still below standard .

There were whole lots of staffs in suit at the lobby when we arrived by taxi but none of them offer us a helping hand to open the door even we got lots of lagguages in hand . Bad Impression on the first place. Staffs are rather cool , If they could give us just a warm little smile at the reception i might have a better first impression .

The room is small , two "storey" with the bed n tv on the "upper floor" , No standard bathroom , juz a "shower room" on the left handside of the room door n a very small toilet room on the right , the size of the toilet room is even smaller than a public toilet ! n who wants to use a toilet with the wall right in front of yr face ? very poor design !

The bed is too soft , when you turn n sleep at the edge , your hand can touch the floor . N the Sofa bed has a bad design too , people would probably get hurt if they didnt pay attension .

The room is quite dusty , and poor house keeping . One bottle of showe gel , shampoo and conditional are given for each room but when we came back the second night , they removed the empty bottles without replacing new ones , we called n asked for replacement and we have to wait for 20 mins for it .

No one clean up the rubbish bin on the first day (which is so unbelievable!) and the first night we found the kettle was broken which water leaked out so we called the reception and asked for replacement . wt we got in reply -- "It's after 00:00 so we cant replace it for you now , we will do it tmr " ..aint it suppose to be 24 hours serivce ? The second day .. they simply took away the broken kettle and gave us two extra bottles of water .. wow , problem fixed isnt it ? and the third day they didnt put the kettle back or give us extra water either .

Simple , a rather bad hotel experience for the family , we would NOT come back and would NOT recommed it for anyone .

We stayed at Studio M hotel whilst in singapore celebrating a friends birthday and ended up checking out after 2 nights....

Whilst i can appreciate the uniqueness and the concept, etc, i think the rooms are more like cabins on a sleeper train than a comfortable hotel room. Everthing is packed in tight, so much so that i just couldnt get comfortable in my room..... ohhh yes the bed is comfortable, but dont get up too fast in the middle of the night as you will probably bang your head on the low roof... and make sure you turn the lights on before you make your way downstairs to the bathroom ... as one wrong step (which is possible after one too many singapore slings) you will fall face first down steep skinny staircase......

There was nothing luxurious or comfortable about my room...........whist the entrance is alive and has a fun vibe... the room i stayed in was dull, boring and bland.

I appreciate that i was there (even though i was not told this when booking) during their soft opening stage... but the service was slow and in most cases i was given the answer no to most things i requested for , ie. i asked for an adaptor.... couldnt get one.... i asked for champagne glasses.... was told no we dont have them.... it wasnt untill i insisted they send someone over to their sister property 10 minutes down the road that they agreed they could provide me with champagne glasses.

Wish i could comment on the restaurant, gym, cafe etc, that they tout on the website... sadly all closed when we visited.....

sorry to say the service was average and we checked out 2 nights into our 4 night stay - went to a trusty bigger chain where i knew i could get champagne glasses if i asked for them.

wish studio m much luck .... but they have a long long long way to go

ps. if your thinking of taking your partner to studio m for a romantic weekend.... think again... its about as romantic as a concrete paver.

A nice new hotel in a great spot. Good if you want to spend days outside and just sleep there.
- Great location - in the city centre, a few minutes walk from hundreds of bars and restaurants by the river, around 10 min walk from MRT
- Rooms are very small but nice and clean (if you caompare actual size with pictures from the website you may wonder how they did those pictures...)
- Boring breakfasts if you stay longer than a few days
- Useless reservation staff - I waisted 2 weeks on emails and calls with them, but this was during soft opening stage so probably will be sorted soon
- Ok swimming pool and small gym outside
- Nice staff

I spent 2 nights in this hotel and I must say it is one of the most unique hotels I've ever been. The hotel room has a home feel yet stylish and posh. Located near Clarke Quay which is good if you want to dine and party later in the evening.

I booked the premier room which is excellent for any business traveler. Imagine yourself working in a cozy area downstairs, and later move your way upstairs and get pampered by the soft and comfortable bed. And the 43" flat screen TV with loads of international channels was great as it is close to your bed and you don't have to watch TV from afar. The bathroom has nothing to shout about though, not loving it.

However, this posh and classy room maybe hazardous or undesirable to some like the physically challenged, senior citizens or young children. Besides the hassle to take the stairs, be careful of some awkward edges as well.

Most of the staff wokers were warm and friendly but the housekeeping was quite slow.

Overall, i highly recommend this hotel to all business travelers and to those hungry to try something new and sophisticated.

Hotel room is best suited for 1 or 2 people (sleeping in the same bed). We paid extra for the premiere suite which, apparently fits 4 people but practically, doesn't fit more than 2.

The sofa, which opens to a single bed, doesn't cone with sheets or a blanket. When we asked for some, the concierge said it doesn't come with the room. My mom protested and eventually a maid came with a sheet and a pillow. Once again we asked for a blanket and pillows and she said she had to check since the room doesn't come with them. Someone finally brought us a blanket and being that we were three in the room, it took 4 attempts to get a third towel delivered. Our second night we asked for a sheet and another blanket but they ended up bringing us 6 pillow cases instead.

The pool to the hotel hasn't opened yet but it seems they were testing it's soundsydtem at 7am this morning. We were on the 6th floor and it was blaring in our room.

The whole experience wasn't very nice. I think they have a few growing pains to get through before I'd reccommend it.

Ps. They have a sister hotel call Hotel M on Anson road- not to be confused with this one... Studio M on Nanson road. Taxis were confused.

Just spent 3 nights in the newly opened Studio M Hotel with a few friends - we had some problems getting there in a taxi but that was to be expected with it being so new.

Interesting room concept as described by previous reviewers. At first I was unsure about a number of features / lack of storage etc but a quick exploration revealed an adequate amount of storage for clothes and a sliding door to which sealed off the bathroom / shower area from the rest of the open plan room. My only issue was the need to be very careful coming down the stairs from the bed -esp if you have enjoyed some wine!

The hotel is located in the Robertson quay area - a very short walk from Clarke quay which is great for clubs, bars & restaurants, but there are numerous cafes, bars and restaurants beside the hotel which are great value for money.

Free wi-fi but seems to be capped at a low bandwidth rate (100kps). Breakfast was good but the coffee machine was a bit of a nuisance. Most of the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. We did encounter a few small problems but to be expected with the newly opened status of the hotel.

I would really like to get back again once the bar and pool are open - would definitely recommend to anyone planning a leisure visit to Singapore.
