“Bed Bugs in the bed”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

i am a returning guest, but this time my family had a bad memories of this hostel
i was shock in the morning when we had to leave that my son complained that something bite his back and cheek also his neck, after i check outside the room.. OMG many bed bugs bite around his neck n cheek and at the back of his belly... i was rushed to the bed to check and i found out 4 bed bugs were there, 2 on the lower bed and 2 on the top bed (i paid 3 bed, mine is ok...) that was on the 2nd fl, on 2C next to the door, i hated them n i killed them, the blood was fresh when i pinched the bed bugs n should left a mark until the morning when the staff pick all the linen (i just want to show them that i was not lying/ that time no staff around when we left at 4.30am on sunday 22nd of june)
i suggest the management to locked the room down for few hours to be spray to kill those bed bugs as i believe they are still there but no response from the management yet on my email.
think to stay at the other backpacker as i am now have a bad memory on pillow n toast.

The staff are eager to help. The facilities such as aircon and lockers and security and travel adaptors are all taken care of. Wifi super. It's not too party, but not too quiet. although definitely more on the quiet side. The location is perfect. And to top it off, free toast for breakfast which is not common in backpacker's.

I've stayed here all three times I've been in Singapore and never regretted it for a second, even when my friends were at fancy places in Orchard. Slept like a baby and also met some other travelers in common rooms.

Someone complained about the toilets but I can't disagree more, sure they might not be the Hilton with a chrome gold-plated seat, but they are very clean and as good as I've seen in a backpacker hostel.

I stayed for 5 days in the 8 bed female dormitory located on the first floor. The bed was comfy and the reading light is very useful especially when the other roommates are asleep. The area is ideal because it is walking distance to a lot of famous places like the buddha museum, the huge hawker place, the red dot museum, etc. And of course to Chinatown and the train station.

Breakfast is on your own service and is great because I dont like waking up early sometimes and even at 11am when I want to eat I am able to do so. The bathroom in the first floor can be improved in terms of cleanliness and maintenance.

The price is good for a bed in a dorm room and breakfast was included. The room is clean and you get your own locker with padlock. The security is high on the agenda and you are given a swipe card to open front door and dorm door. The a/c is very efficient, so so good. The girls at the front desk are so kind and helpful, always greeting me with a smile. They made me feel very welcome. The location is great, at walking distance from everything, the subway is 2mns walk away.

I stayed here for 2 days and a night. It was a cool experience though the rooms and hallways are dark. Maybe because of the painted orange colors. The place is perfect for travelers who loves to explore Chinatown. A little bit expensive compare to other bacpackers hostel. They do not have free drinks and breads unlike other lodges. I hope in future they will provide this kind of service.

I stayed 1 night at Heritage for the rush trip. I'm happy with cleanliness for overall and very close from Chinatown MRT.

However, this hostel needs something to be the the best hostel for me.

- No hanger for towel in the room for each bed. We need it.
- Flow of drain should be fixed asap. I need to wait for a long time for the floor dry and leave the shower room
- Few shower room per room (2 rooms per 5-6 rooms)

hope the staff hear that and fix them :)
