The complexities of the electronics in Takashi Sugimoto's quirkily designed Club Rooms took some time to fathom. Once we had learned which switch operated which blind, curtain or lamp we felt a certain sense of achievement. Whilst the décor may not be to all tastes, it would be churlish to be critical. You could not fault the comfort of the room, especially the bed which afforded us our best nights' sleep for some time.

The hotel is conveniently connected via a subway to the Novena underground station, meaning that most of the key sights and amenities of Singapore are easy to access.

For my wife and me, the main selling point of this hotel was the level of service on offer from all the employees we encountered during our four day stay.

We stayed at the Club Rooms but I think it would be fair to assume that the same levels of attentiveness prevail throughout this hotel. The staff were all prepared to go out of their way to assist and serve us, offering advice on what to see and do in Singapore and even providing useful information for our onward trip to Borneo. When I was laid low by a bug I had picked up in Malacca one of the staff escorted me to the nearby hospital and ensured that I was properly registered prior to receiving treatment.

The Club Rooms represent good value for money, especially when you take into account that breakfast, drinks throughout the day and cocktails between 18.00 and 20.00 are complimentary. These were provided at The Living Room on floor 22. The canapés and small pastries provided during cocktails were particularly tasty.

Following our check-out, a young lady in front of us in the taxi queue kindly gave us her cab, as she could see we were in a hurry to get to the airport. It turned out that she was a hotel employee: just about sums the place up for me.

This review refers to a stay my wife and I made from 5th to 9th March 2014.

This hotel is a beautiful setting for your holiday. The rooms are large for Singapore standards and beautifully decorated. Amazing views, in-room espresso machine and electric blinds. The pool has a jacuzzi, 24 hour gym and steam room. The service is good and the buffet breakfast is a definite highlight catering to all nationalities. Below the hotel is a public food court and train (MRT) station. Room service food is nice if you want to stay in. The rooms are very quiet too.

Visited the Oasia Hotel on a 3-day work trip. I must say that the staff are really helpful, warm and friendly. The room was clean and quite large for the price, the only drawback, there was no bath. The location for me was perfect, only 10 minutes walk to the office (United Square Bld) but more importantly only 2 minutes from the Metro station, very convenient.
Room Service was very fast and reasonably priced. The breakfast is also good, though the restaurant room feels a little small, especially during peak times. Never-the-less, a great hotel, thoroughly recommended.

On your subsequent visit, you may like to try out our Club room as this comes with a bathtub in our award winning bathrooms. For your information, we do have another breakfast venue that is located on the 8th floor. It is our Verandah lounge that serves breakfast alfresco style should you be interested in this option.

Although It was a short visit, I had a very good experience.

Staffs were friendly and helpful
Subway station and malls are next to the hotel
Room was small but it was clean
Free wifi
Location and view is also good
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Stayed for two nights on a stopover. Great location in the city area and a couple of stations away to the shopping hub. The train station is just below the hotel and the fares are cheap all round town. The hotel has a nice pool with a small garden just by the pool. They serve breakfast at the swimming pool floor. The rooms are slightly on the smaller side but compact and has all the necessities. Importantly, they are well cleaned. Service overall is outstanding. The Bellboys and girls at the reception are always smiling and never fail to lend a helping handd. I wanted to go to the cash machine and the reception girl kindly brought me all the way to the machine near the station! I enjoyed my stay so thank you Oasia. I will definitely come back.

Arriving at Changi Airport it was easy to find a taxi to take me to this hotel. Journey time was about 30 minutes. I was greeted on arrival and efficiently checked in. The room was clean and well laid out, but seemed a bit smaller than I had expected. The bathroom was a decent size, adequately fitted out and well supplied. Carpets in the corridor outside the room seemed a bit "tired", as did the rug in my room, but both seemed clean enough. Although the room overlooked the Elizabeth Hospital, there was otherwise a nice view to the horizon. There is an underpass from the B3 level which conveniently connects the hotel to the MRT. Breakfast in the Living Room was acceptable as to quality and quantity, but more variety would have been nice. Drinks and snacks in the evening at the same location were a very welcome touch. Staff were helpful polite and knowledgeable, unobtrusive but easily available when needed.

Let me start off by saying I was somewhat biased before I even arrived in Singapore. There was a mix-up in their reservation system that had allowed me to reserve a Superior Room with Club benefits at the standard Superior rate. I had a question about what was offered and it turned out they don't offer such a deal. This is part of the email they sent me concerning the mix-up.:

"Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you concerning your reservation.
We do pride ourselves in setting exemplary service standards and it was indeed regrettable that we were not able to showcase this in this instance.
Investigation revealed that there was a system glitch as such the Club Benefits was non intentionally displayed on screen.
Rest assured that corrective measures have been put in place to ensure that there will be no repeat occurrences as the department in-charge have been informed accordingly.
As the error was caused by our end, as a gesture of goodwill we are happy to upgrade you to the Club room.
We look forward to welcoming you to Oasia Hotel and my sincere apologies once again for all inconvenience caused."

They also included free transportation from the airport. As soon as we cleared Immigration and Customs, our driver was right there in front with a sign showing my name. We were driven to the hotel in a new Mercedes. The driver had maps and tour information pamphlets for us. He was very professional and informative.

We arrived at the hotel close to 1 am. Everything looked as though it were brand new. Check-in was smooth and they had upgrade us again to a club room on the top floor with sweeping city views.

The porter took us to our room and spent several minutes showing as all the amenities and how to use the various systems in the room.

One entire wall was covered with windows and there were two shades, one room darkening. They were motorized and controlled by switches next to the bed. The bed was very comfortable and there was no noise what so ever from the outside.

The flat screen TV was large, at least 40". There was a control panel on the desk next to the TV where you could hook up just about any electronic gadget to the TV. The WiFi was free as well as wired internet. I use a portable router hooked to the wired internet and the WiFi speeds were very good. I never had a dropped signal or slow connection.

There was a great shower with hand held and rain-shower heads. There was also a large soaking tub. There was an endless supply of hot water with great water pressure. The amenities were extensive and included everything you could possibly need for personal care.

The free mini-bar was also a nice touch and included various soft drink, teas and beers. They replaced what you used each day, or more often upon request.

We went to the buffet on the club floor at about 7:30 am and were happy to see it wasn't at all crowded. It wasn't the best or largest selection I've seen, but it was more than adequate and the service was exemplary. The food was plentiful, hot and there was Western as well as Asian foods available along with yogurt, fresh fruits, pastries, breads, juices and custom coffees made to order. During the day, fruits and beverages where always available. The outside lounge area and pool on the same level was beautiful and tranquil.

They also gave us a free hop-on/hop-off bus tour of the city. It was a good basic tour to familiarize you with the areas you might be interested in.

As the title suggest, the location was outstanding. Connected to an MRT station and only a few minutes from most any place you might want to visit. Additionally, the two malls connected to the hotel had numerous eating establishments. We ate there at least once everyday.

From the time we arrived at the airport to the time we left for the airport, the customer service from everyone at the hotel was outstanding. They made us fell like we where the only guest and had their undivided attention. Truly 5 star service.
