Indeed a great find! I love the vibe of this bookshop, and actually met the friendly owner and their two (rather grumpy) cats, Lemon and Pico. Their book collection is nice and rather obscure. I like how they especially highlighting local writers, indie publishers, and books about local culture.

In the back of the store, they have a small space that selling little and interesting gift, such as matches, mugs, tin jars, etc. I ended up buying their tote bag, a book, and Lemon (the cat) pin.

They also have a vending machine for books, in which you can select a random and mystery book for a couple of dollars. A nice touch!
Unfortunately, Pico the cat was not in the good mood when I came, as I wanted to pet him, he just meowed loudly at me and looked so angry at me! hahaha gotta love Pico although he doesn't love me back :')

What a great find. We read about this neighbourhood in the Lonely Planet about Singers. I loved the neighboorhood with its young population of locals mixed with a dash of expats.

The bookshop is a great experience. Local authors with unique stories and a fantastic service by the staff. The lazy cat to be found in the shop added to the identity of the shop. Many curious patrons picking up books to find the one for them. As a true teenager my son was bored after 15 minutes. However for those armchair adventurers and psychologists, a great find!

It's a must visit for literature lover. I was literally dragged to leave this heaven. I purchase their Singaporean Literature and book bag. If you walk further to the back you will find out another treasure.

Nestled in the quaint, hipster neighbourhood of Tiong Bahru, this humble bookstore boasts an awesome selection of Singaporean writers, and the most intelligent collection of good books for savvy readers anyway. Also look out for create and nostalgic local souvenirs. Don't forget to say hello to Cake, Pico and Lemon - the cats of BookActually!
