Just back from 4 days in Singapore. Stayed at this hotel and was very impressed. Great location and only 7 minutes walk from the Lavender MRT stop.
Check in was quick, efficient and friendly. We were afforded the luxury of a room upgrade which was very nice. The room was small but that seems to be the norm in Singapore but it was clean and modern and the bathroom was very nice. Beds were comfortable and plenty of movie channels to watch if you just want a night in to relax. If i have one minor complaint to make or advice is that the curtains should be open along with the window shutters as when we came in we originally thought we had a room with no windows. The difference the shutters open to the room made is night and day. The room went from being drab and dreary to bright and alot more spacious.
Breakfast was good except for the first morning. We arrived down at about 7.30 am, went into the restaurant and originally was taken aback by the fact the restaurant wasnt set for breakfast. No knifes or forks on the table, not even a salt or pepper shaker. Just white linen on the tables. It was complete self service from that stand point. I personally dont believe it would be too hard to make the restaurant look open for breakfast. Also the waiter on Saturday morning was sitting at a table reading the paper when we came in. Not even a hello or good morning and at first i thought he was a guest. Breakfast the other 2 mornings was good however and i cannot fault the choice available.
Overall this hotel was well priced, clean, comfortable and in a great location. The problem with breakfast would not deter me from coming back and i would be happy to recommend it to anyone visiting Singapore.
