Too much small but nice! It was better if had windows & mini bar in rooms :) maby come back again at this hotel later. The best advantage is about the location... at the heart of Chinatown & near MRT station. I love that area. it is amazing . This hotel is suitable for couples not family and it is ok for 2 days or something. It is clean & not bad but can be better!

From the moment we arrived the exterior of the Hotel looked fine. When we walked through the front double doors we were very disappointed in the interior it was very dark and red. The staff were not helpful at all. The rooms were even worse very small and there was nowhere to put your bags or belongings. We were to stay there 6 nights but we couldn't stand the noise or smell so we were transferred to another hotel in there chain which was so much better and not so noisy. The bathroom was very small with the shower, toilet and sink in the same room. There was a shower curtain to divide the shower from the toilet and water would be all over the floor and toilet by the time you had finished your shower. I honestly would not recommend this hotel to any one. Go to the hotel in Victoria Street which is much more better and the rooms are much bigger and the staff are very helpful as well.

Room Tip: Do not ask for a balcony room much more noisier

PROS: Excellent location right in the middle of Chinatown, just beside the newly-refurbished Food Street and walking distance to the nearest MRT station. Professional and friendly staff.

CONS: Too noisy at night due to the ktv bars in the area - the rooms are not sound proof. Very small rooms, there was barely enough space to move around - those with big luggage will find this challenging as there's practically no where to park your items. Bathroom is a bit of a downer: there's no separate shower area so toilet's always wet. No windows as well - it was clamped shut - so it feels claustrophobic.

First of all, the hotel is in a market street and just below our room, there were stalls which sell those toys which squeak when squeezed. Till late at night, we could hear the squeaking and the sound is very disturbing. We booked a Queen room with balcony, the room is very small and there is no place to move around.
The staff at the hotel are very unapproachable. No welcome, no hello, not even a smile. I would not want to come back to this hotel.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the food street side of the hotel. The noise is a little less.

Very convenient because it's close to MRT and faced with food street (smith street). The hotel decorates in chinese style, it's all red! They provide some beverages like tea , instant coffee 24hrs. The room is quite small and too dim for us ( there are no windows). Can't wake up in the morning because of its darkness(I woke up around 10AM and thought it was 5AM) , can't read books properly as well.

The Santa grande is a comfortable hotel. The rooms are quite small but for Singapore it is a reasonable deal. The soap was really nice and foamy, but there isn't a real partition in the shower. Also our bed was in a corner so it's not comfortable for two people.

Stayed overnight for a Singapore stopover. Arrived early evening and walked through the markets with our luggage to the front door, there is access from the back street but this was more fun. Atmosphere abounds in this property, yes the rooms were small and bathrooms cramped but we had a room with a balcony over 'eat street' and the markets and we loved it. The foyer and staff were lovely and welcoming. We probably wouldn't pick this hotel for a long stay but will be back for a couple of nights soon to soak up the Chinatown experience.

Room Tip: Corner room had space for 3 with bags but the bathroom was cramped.
