Our flight arrived in very late at night and it was wonderful to have a friendly face. We booked a deluxe room which was lovely and very clean. The breakfast was delicious,. All the staff were helpful nothing was a problem. .

I had read many reviews before deciding to use this hotel. Many of the comments noted that the rooms were small so I booked a deluxe room. So glad I did as it was a good size, with plenty of space and a large bathroom. Other people we met said that our room was significantly bigger than theirs although they had a wall window whereas we only had a skylight. Even so, there was plenty of natural light. Overall I prefer to have the space and no window! Everything else at the hotel was satisfactory, the staff were especially pleasant and helpful. The breakfasts were plentiful, with the fresh juices and coffee especially good. The variety was limited though for the 4 nights we stayed. The hotel is on a bus route into town, with buses every few minutes. I would recommend this hotel for its value for money and location.

Very small rooms but functional. Rooms good content. Good service but front desk a little inexperienced relies on one experienced manageress. Good restaurant with very good breakfast. Would love to have tried the rooftop swimming pool, but weather did not permit.

We had to stay in Singapur for another couple of days which were not planned but happened more accidently. So we had to choose very quick and with short notice at the airport and actualy I have to say we were lucky. Not only that the price was very reasonable for a nice and clean room (small though) including breakfast but also the connection to public transport with bus and metro was acceptable. Of course not comparable with City Centre location but we were satisfied and for our need it was just very good. Very friendly and helpful staff even with tasks they are not supposed to deliver any support , so thanks a lot again.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 days and we didn't expect that the room is quite small for a couple and a 2 year old baby. We booked Superior Double room and we were given a room located at the second floor, I would like to suggest to change the carpet of that room because the look is not so pleasant and dirty. Suggest the management look into it. The toilet is pretty clean though, but I would suggest to provide replenishment of amenity kit every day. For our case, if we didn't request for a new amenity kit, the staff would not provide it. My family swim at the pool located on the 6th floor and we've seen earthworms floating on the pool and we immediately finish our swim. The breakfast is pretty normal but would love to have a local foods like nasi lemak, chicken rice and etc. On our last day of stay at the hotel, I requested the front desk if I could possibly heat up some food and she's not very helpful at all. All she can reply was that she doesn't carry the microwave with her so I better check with the restaurant at the lobby. I would like to thank the Filipina Staff of that restaurant who's being very helpful on my request. The location is good and pretty accessible to city and you can get the taste of local foods nearby.

Free wifi, clean hotel, good service, surrounding area has a lot of good choices to eat, easy to go to any places because easy to take public transportation, free local call, near shopping mall, secure place, near churches, near to East Coast Park.

Room Tip: Every room is a good room.

i stayed overnight at the Santa Grand East Coast. The hotel was very comfortable and the service extremely attentive ... but the room had no window or natural light. I was too tired (a late check in) to request a change but enquired in the morning about how many windowless rooms the hotel has and was told only one. Perhaps because i checked in late it was thought I wouldn't notice? i was told i could request a window next time. i find this ludicrous as surely a window is standard, and not something special? The paranakan breakfast was a disappointment - it looked like generic Chinese food to me with none of the cuisine's distinctive tastes eg some nasi lemak or atak otak would have been lovely. Also i feel the hotel could have usefully supplied a brochure on Peranakan culture and cuisine - its "Peranaknaness" seemed confined to a few features of decor. People wanting to stay at boutique hotels in heritage areas are usually keen to learn more of the cultures they represent (beyond a wall poster - near the lifts, I think). In other ways the hotel was very charming, comfortable and reasonably priced, and i would probably stay again - if I could get a window!

Room Tip: See above. apparently one needs to request a window if arriving late.
